Manchester United-Going for Lionel Messi in a $124million deal!!!!
June 20th 2011 12:08
Believe it or not, it is rumoured that Sir Alex Ferguson has told Man Utd agents to get ready to prepare a deal in a bid to sign Barcelona and the current best player of the World, Lionel Messi!! It may well need an impressive transfer packet which would be well over $100m in order to impress the Nou camp to even consider the offer. This would mean that it would smash the current transfer record held by ex-Utd player C. Ronaldo who moved to Real in a deal worth $80m.
But on a more in-depth analysis, this appears to be more of a strategic move from the old veteran but still impressive Sir Alex Ferguson. With Barcelona discussing the terms with Man Utd target A.Sanchez, Sir Alex may be trying some kind of a diversion in order to strike other more vital transfer deals with other players. This could also create some kind of chaos in the Barcelona’s camp which was what happened two years ago when Real Madrid was so intent on signing C. Ronaldo that they did it in the end but not without turning Man Utd players against each other even if it was only for a couple of weeks.
But on a more believing tone, Ashley Young is expected to tie up his £17m move to Manchester United this week when the personal terms are finalised with the midfielder. The Old Trafford club hope to make an announcement in the next few days that they have signed the 25-year-old England winger for whom a deal has been in place for some time with Aston Villa. (S. Wallace-The Independent). Meanwhile it is also rumoured that in order to persuade Inter Milan to let go of its playmaker W. Sneijder, Man Utd could include Portuguese unfit midfielder, Nani in the deal along with a rumoured $30m.
Chelsea have also agreed a $24m deal with Anderlecht 18 year old striker, Romelu Lukaku. But the Chelsea fans will have to wait before seeing the Belgian striker’s start at Stamford Bridge as it is included in the deal that the striker would be loaned back to Anderlecht for at least one year. This could be seen as quite a mistake on the part of the Chelsea’s management board. Considering that there are talks about D. Drogba’s future departure from the club and Spanish striker F. Torres still waiting to score his second goal for Chelsea, hence it would have been more appropriate to keep R. Lukaku in the Chelsea squad in their bid to get back the Premier League title.

If Kenny Dalglish wants to be among the Premiership competitors next season then it is recommended that he goes for more star players rather than players who would not even get a place in the 40 men squad of great teams like Barcelona and Man Utd.
