Making The Truth Count

There are so many boundaries people put themselves into just so they won’t hurt the other person. But it’s much more important to be open about feelings even if telling their partner is going to hurt them.
Honesty is painful temporarily but when it comes out the new found knowledge should bring the couple closer together. The person who had the guts to pore out their feelings would have had a hard time just saying the words. Its up to the other person to handle it, a lot of people need time to deal with the information.
The thing is if you both have the same agenda, which is sticking together no matter what then you have no choice but to face the issues head on. It’s from being open that brings a stronger connection and relating to each other as individuals with needs, if you both get them met then you’re on the right path. It’s much worse for things to fester because resentment builds.
I read this quote that said that you really know for certain if you love someone if you experience all the seasons twice over, that a relationship can really last. So roughly if you’re a couple that have been together two years it’s a great indication that you have had to face a few obstacles and worked through them.
Reading relationship books is good research for meeting the right person and keeping them in your life but if you make the fatal mistake of choosing the wrong person and not realizing it then all the studying you did was worthless.
Communication is a valuable tool in life and relationships with your life partner, friends, family and colleagues. But it’s a matter of being ready to handle the reaction of the truth that hinders a lot of people from truly expressing themselves. There are risks involved but if you never take a chance how can things really change and possibly for the better?
