It is easy to turn a simple box of stove top stuffing into a delicious inexpensive meal. In 30 minutes or less, you can have a warm, hearty, inexpensive dinner that your whole family is sure to love!
INEXPENSIVE STOVE TOP STUFFING MEAL
* 1 box stove top stuffing (any brand)
* 1 pound boneless chicken
* 1/2 cup chopped celery
* 1/2 cup chopped onion
* 2 boiled eggs diced
Cut the boneless chicken into bite size pieces. In a medium pan place the bite size chicken pieces, onions and celery. Cover completely with water and boil on medium heat, until the chicken is cooked thoroughly. About 20 minutes.
Drain the chicken and vegetables, reserving the broth.
Prepare the stove top stuffing according to the package directions, with the following exceptions. Substitute the chicken/vegetable broth for the liquid specified in the stove top stuffing directions. Add the chicken, vegetables and egg to the broth. Proceed with the package directions for preparing the stove top stuffing.
Once the stove top stuffing is prepared, scoop it out of the pan and place it into a casserole dish. Bake, uncovered in a pre-heated 350 degree oven for about 20 minutes, or until the top is crusty and a golden brown. Serve your inexpensive stove top stuffing meal while still piping hot. Enjoy!
