Have you ever watched a movie and enjoyed it so much you wish it wouldn't end? Or thought the characters were so endearing or premise so good that you just couldn't wait for a sequel only to find the movie was a "one-off"?

I thought "Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins" was an entertaining movie and with a title like "The Adventure Begins" thought for sure it would spawn a few sequels in James Bond fashion. Unfortunately, it was not to be. Fred Ward starred as Remo Williams and Joel Grey as his mentor.

Mystery Men also had a great premise. A group of misfits with odd super-powers do battle with an equally odd gang of villains.

On the other end of the scale, there are a few movies that, although I couldn't wait for sequel, wish the producers had decided against the idea.

Highlander was a great movie! "There can be only one!" Connor MacLeod was an immortal, born in the Highlands of Scotland in 1518 who managed to defeat all other immortals to claim the ultimate prize. Did we really need a sequel only to find the immortals actually came from another world (Ziest)? Did we need a third movie, a television series, and another movie after that? I like to pretend there was the one movie since all the sequels only aid in destroying the original premise that, "there can be only one!"

The Matrix was another great movie. What the heck was with Two and Three? I'm sure it made sense to someone somewhere but aside from the special effects, it sounded like a lot of gobbly-goop.
