I’d like to think
In those moments
The trigger released
I would see the life as it was

Smiles
Tears
Conquered fears
Many glorious conquests
A moment of nostalgia as all closes in

Not that truth lies in this dream
As my life is not one of material greatness
Of emotive dreams
Just the smiles, tears, on going laughter
Not that bad now I think about it

Really if I think hard
Thoughts would not be that of Hollywood fancies
Rather the bullet
As twenty miles per hours
Shattering my heart
Killing my body
Releasing my soul

Lime Light

Bright, white, radiating light
Over the center
Washing, cleansing
Lit up the pure

Dim, lime, shadows
Cover the corners
Let them slink
Theirs our the side lines

Not fiery bright red
More a mellow
Unspoken lime
Filtered sadness

Unseen in the darkened hours
After the cut
After the rehearsal is done
The lime tears

Smiles of admiration
Slightly non-obsessive worship
A longing to be anyone else
As the lime tears fall
In the dark wings
Of the loved, famed stage

alleyway

stench of smoke clings to the skin
hangs on the hair
like a bad habit that cannot be quit
or a scar that will not fade

wallet barren all
but for a dollar
like a coffin of the missing
or a page torn out of the book

blood is rhythmic
in the temples
like an echo
or a caged animal starved

breath is rancid
even and shallow
like a dormant volcano
or an ocean of decayed bodies

space is wide
cold and vacant
like a barrier
or line of defense

Built between them,
The slumbering drunk
And the feral cat, prowling about the trash

Silent Witnesses

The street was abandoned at this hour. Falling the rain whispered. Its quiet character filled the dense night as willingly as it did the cobbled cracks and gutters. In this still dark of a quarter to midnight it was to be a witness. A witness to those moments of solitude the restless cling to.

Old Grandma Jean stared into the eyes of her dead lover on the distant beach of her dreams. Fifty-cent saltwater taffy kept them from going hungry. The wrinkles ironed out and the scars torn from existence this was a good dream…

Thank you. Writing is how I live the world, I know thats sounds corny but its true. Its how I express myself. Glad you liked it. I read this poem and this of the Coldplay song Yellow. Beautiful writing and the image with it gives a whole other depth. Did you do the picture yourself?

Thanks, nice to meet you. I confess I'm far from a fashion fantic and I don't really do dresses or yellow. Blue is more my style, blue jeans. Is is a nice dress though.

Just wanted to say I love your blog. I'm new to Orble and I am an aspiring author/poet. I do love words as they are the fundumental tools of the trade as it were along with pens, paper and in in this day and age the computer. However I do not see this as a nerdy thing I just see a large vocabularly as a blessing which we can bring upon ourselves. Keep up with your blog its very helpful.
