I'm not willing to rule it out.

"Sully, for shame!" Jonathan said in reproach, "and don't be foolish! What are we trying to practise every day? If our friendship depends on things like space and time, then when we finally overcome space and time, we've destroyed our brotherhood! But overcome space, and all we have left is Here. Overcome time, and all we have left is Now. And in the middle of Here and Now, don't you think that we might see each other once or twice?" - Jonathan Livingston Seagull - Richard Bach.
---
He thinks there might be something else out there. He knows what he has found, but he has only seen it once. What else is there? Who could blame him for wondering? Who could blame him for wandering? He might start looking in the wrong places. But in the wrong places he will find the right answer: He will realise that they are the wrong place, He will feel the emptiness. He will remember that he once had something. He will know the difference between something and nothing.
It's sad for her, but it is beyond her control. For the nature of his journey is that he must learn that he must learn for himself. And she cannot teach him that. She has since learned, she has felt the pain he will feel. She has seen what he must see. She can describe it to him, but he must not take her word for it, for then he has not experienced it. It is sad for her, but her journey is to learn that each has their own path.
Hers is to learn that loving him is not to be together forever. To love him is to love the now. The perfect partner helps us traverse our course, in a way that in doing so we help them traverse their path.
To love him is not to be toghether forever. To love him is not to be together forever. She wants him to learn that he need not leave, he need not leave. But he must learn that he need not leave. And to love him is to help him learn. In helping him leave, she will learn that to love him is not to be together forever.
---
Love is the belief in something. Love is the rejection of nothingness.
We have a choice. What does nothingness feel like? it feels like nothing. What does that feel like? It doesn't feel like anything.
What does somethingness feel like? It feels like love. What does that feel like? Oh! But I can't answer that! You must discover the answer yourself.

If I leave now to follow my own path, will she know that we are still in love? I'm not willing to rule it out.
