Long Time No Post

So I thought I better get on with posting to this side of my Blog.
Dieting, why is it so hard? Firstly I'm not sure if mentioned before but the bathroom scales I had been using were kind of broken, they were telling me I was a stone lighter than what I was. A bit depressing to say the least as I thought I had broken that 17 stone mark. I've now managed to get down to about 17 stone 5 lbs (that is what I weighed yesterday morning) and I've been trying to exercise each morning and trying to eat healthier. I've really cut down on chocolate and I'm at the moment allowing myself a few alcoholic beverages once a week (mostly on a Friday night) but I'm going to cut back on that for a while now too. I just need to will power myself enough to cut out the bread a few days a week.
As for exercising what have I been doing on that front? Well.... a lovely lady I know on the internet told me about this form of jogging she had stated doing and was finding that it was working well. What is it? It's indoor jogging! I'm a bit self conscious to go out jogging in the street, plus I live in the middle of a town centre so lots and lots of people around. This form is perfect for me. I've yet to work out the exact distance but basically I do three laps of our front room, run across the hallway to the kitchen, run to the end and back of the kitchen, then from there across the hallway to our bedroom, round there once and back through the hallway to the front room and repeat. I've been doing this for ten minutes and counting how many laps I do in that time period. So far I've got up to doing 17 laps, but bear in mind I do have the "Traffic Jam of Callum" to negotiate! Sometimes Callum joins in and tries to make it a race between us... and Daz he just watches and smiles to himself. *laugh*
As well as the running/jogging I've been doing sit ups (at the moment 20 a day), different forms of press ups (also 20 a day) either half press ups or wall press ups or I put my legs on the sofa and do them that way, no idea what that is called. I've been doing 20 squats with arm lifts a day and today I introduced hip/arm swings (20 of them too). It probably takes me about 15-20 mintues to do all this (sometimes more if I have to act as a tunnel for someone's cars) and I'm hoping that the more I do this, the more sit ups/press ups/running I can get in in that time.
So far I've been noticing that I'm not really loosing the weight but my body looks like it's toning up a bit. With a bit of better dieting though I'm hoping the combination will have me loosing the weight too.
Oh and on top of this there is the walking. I've been trying to get out everyday with Callum over to the parks etc and spending 1-2 hours there. And next week once this cold I've got has gone I'm going to try and go swimming.
So that's how things are at the moment. I'll have to try and be better with keeping this blog updated.
Now I'm off for a shower as I sure built up a sweat today.

In Australia we had a woman lose her weight by walking round and round the Hills hoist [clothes line].
You are building muscle, which is heavy, hence no weight loss, but rest assured it will come.
Eat plenty of salad vegetables, stick some in with every meal it will help abate those hunger pangs, you're well on your way, but be prepared for a few setbacks and walk whenever and as much as you can. Jogging can be a bit too hard for you.
Do keep us informed and join a group if you can.

I just wanted to add my support to your efforts.
Personally I found that I had the best results when I threw away the scales and went by my clothing sizes. I just aimed for the decrease one size at a time... it's such a blast each time you drop another one.
I gained a couple during pregnancy and lost a couple since then too...so I know how difficult it can be. Hang in there!
Drinks lots of water!
