NLP- course

July 24th 2011 20:13
Yesterday I attended a free NLP course. It took place at Kensington Olympia Hilton from 10 till 5 pm.
NLP stands for neuro linguistic programming, and means the art how to change our ingrained limiting beliefs, how to achieve our goals simply rephrase our truth what we believe true.
Some of the people there were quite interesting. One guy said he is there because he is afraid of public speaking. I couldn't believe it as he spoke like an experienced speaker. If somebody has this fear will not tell anything in front of 50 people, he will stay well behind and trying to be invisible, not like that guy.
The course itself is completely free as Jess Robbins, the presenter says it's is better if the people see their own eyes what NLP can do with their life, and after that they will sign up for the real, serious 4 days course.
And indeed, no catch, we listened the presentation and walk away without any obligation.
The day was succesful anyway, I made some useful realisations in my life which I can change now.
If somebody else is interested to attend this course, other free wealth manifesting day you can find the details here Free NLP Training

Guns 2 Roses again

July 17th 2011 16:45
On Friday night I went to see them again because they played near to my place. The Standard music venue is about 10 minutes away but ironically I had never been there before. It's a good place for newbie bands, aspiring rock-stars.

Guns 2 Roses was supported by Damn Dice. Well what can I say? I have never seen so much rock cliches in one gig. There were a group of girls, aged 18-21, they seemed to belong to the band, probably girlfriends and stuff. They threw some knickers on the stage which was absolutely ridiculous. They acted like it was the best performance they had ever seen. It was a bit too much.
The singer looked like Sebastian Bach from Skid Row.

G2R. Not bad, I mean Guns N'Roses was the first rock band I loved when I was young, listening their songs took me back to the memory lane again, but "Axl" ?! A singer who goes out from the stage in every 3 minutes, what did he do there at all??? Why did he need to go out that often? To drink or what?
The other members are good, skilled musicians, but him, I guess, only a pozeur.

On the whole I had a good night, the venue is cosy, prices are average pub prices, the music was good. Definetely worth to go there again.

Sonisphere festival

July 12th 2011 13:54
Although Sonisphere was held in Knebworth, Hertfordshire, I still count it as a London adventure. And what an amazing 3 days it was. I am in a recovery mode, searching the words to describe my first festival experience in my life.
In January when I was looking for Metallica tour dates, this festival was the only UK date so it was out of question. I had to be there. And I saw some rock historic moments. The big four- Slayer, Anthrax, Megadeth and Metallica- sharing the same stage on Friday, and the cherry on top, they all together played "I am Evil". It is just one of those moments you will tell to your grandchildren "Yes, I was there".
The other surprise for me was Slipknot. I was not a fan of them earlier, I had heard some songs and I had liked them but what they did on Sunday it's still breath-taking. They owned the festival. It was heart-touching when Corey Taylor thanked to the fans the two minutes silence to remember the recently passed away Paul Gray, The big circle with a number two in it appeared on the stage and later it became red. When 80 000 people in the pouring rain got down on their knees to jump up all together, it was just unbelievable. I am struggling to find the words, just happy and honoured to be there and witnessed it.
The whole festival was really joyful, just the pure celebration of metal. As I read today morning there was no car-break-ins, no major fights, no tent thefts.
This was my first festival in my life, but not the last. I am already thinking of going to Bloodstock next month as this festival feeling is just doesn't want to go away.

Crobar in Soho

July 6th 2011 20:39
Yesterday evening I went to the Crobar to see the Metallica Tribute band UK. Well, they didn't make it as the guitarist called sick, but instead of them I could see Guns 2 Roses, another tribute band.
This was my second visit there. It's a cool place but surprisingly small. Okay at least you can have this " we are one big family" feeling
The band itself was late about an hour but they worthed to see. G'N'R was the first rock band I liked when I was 14, actually they are the reason why I started listening rock. And yesterday to see Axl, Slash and Duff McKagan made me go back to the memory lane. Lol, I was so in love with Axl. [ Click here to read more ]

Today one of my friend invited me to an event in Hampstead Heath Park. It was called sacred ecstatic dance, organized by a guy called Shanti. English by the way. But probably a John or a Michael wouldn't sound that sacred.
I always loved this park, more untouched nature and less tourists makes it a peaceful place, perfect to unwind. That's why I thought it would be great to dance barefoot connecting with the energy.
Well, I was not that pleased after meeting those people. I do meditation, and keen on improve myself, but these people there were already in that " ooh I,m sooo free almost flying, because I'm so spiritual" mood that made me immediately think I am so normal

The Intrepid Fox

July 1st 2011 21:02
I always loved the name of the English pubs and the intrepid fox is one of the coolest ones.
It is a rock and heavy metal themed pub set over two floors near Tottenham Court Road. Cool decor and excellent music. Alas the beer is crap and the bar staff are absolutely terrible, still I had a good time there. The trick is when you get served ask for two pints and it will save time for you.

Highgate Cemetery

June 27th 2011 16:16
Sunday was a lovely day, warm, no, rather hot sunshine, beautiful, clear, blue sky. It was an ideal day to visit a cemetery.
Highgate cemetery, located in North London, opened in 1839, as part of a plan to provide seven large, modern cemeteries (known as the "Magnificent Seven") around the outside of London. The inner-city cemeteries, mostly the graveyards attached to individual churches, had long been unable to cope with the number of burials and were seen as a hazard to health and an undignified way to treat the dead. The initial design was by architect and entrepreneur Stephen Geary.
Highgate, like the others, soon became a fashionable place for burials and was much admired and visited
