Dear Readers,

(I will be posting the additional postings I had planned to place here but was unable to previously. Please enjoy.)

Hubby is away in DC for the National Science Bowl Competition. Got two 1st place teams from Regionals. I hope they at least place if not place 1st. That would be cool. It also kind of sucks because he'll be gone through May 4th so we cannot do anything for Birthday or our Legal Anniversary (April 30th which is tomorrow). He also told me not to get him anything for his Birthday but he didn't say Anniversary. Our Wedding Ceremony is May 19th which is the one he usually remembers and does stuff on which is fine with me. It just sucks about his Birthday. I think the same thing happened last year but he was on an interview in another state, I believe.

So Lil' D is asleep next to me and I made the bed all comfy. I also showed Lil' D a good picture of Hubby just to remind him of Daddy since he won't be seeing him for a few days. I don't know how 4 month olds deal with that or if it truly affects them. It affects my rabbits.

I admit I had a crappy early, early morning which I brought on myself since I did not bother to put my wallet back in the diaper backpack. I'm really glad I switched to that. I feel cooler and Hubby will actually wear it now.

This is the first time I've been actually alone with Lil' D for any extended amount of time. We shall see how it goes. I'm still slightly irked at Hubby since he made mash potatoes with milk instead of making it a.) with my milk or b.) a separate batch which means that now Lil' D has broken out AGAIN and has to recover from the whole milk I ingested. It also means he'll have gas probably through this weekend. Hopefully Monday will be good.

I'm distracted by Facebook. Later.

Night.

My wonderful Readers,

I know it's been over a year since I posted. I actually got locked out due to incorrect password and couldn't get a password reset so I gave up. It was very strange. I have not forgotten you all. I do want to write and share my experiences. I just wanted you all to know that I have returned and plan to continue with this site. Please feel free to leave comments - respectful comments and constructive criticism is requested. Thank you all very much for reading.

I will be posting here shortly. Again, thank you my darling Readers.

Sincerely yours.

Body Learns (Screaming Baby)

April 17th 2010 03:35

Readers,

As I've said before my Son now screams in delight, previously, that was not so. In his first few weeks he, like many newborns and their underdeveloped G.I. tracts, had problems dealing with gas. I didn't know this at the time. I originally hardly burped him. Some Babies have no problem handling gas while others, like my Son, do not. Once I realized the issue, I burped him frequently, after and during feedings. I also learned the excessive gas was due to his dairy sensitivity so I eliminated that from my diet. Another thing I incorporated was Mylicon (Gas-x for infants). I now use Little Tummys since it's all natural and I know all the ingredients. If you can't read it or understand it, don't eat it.

The downfall is I come from a very gassy family. So it's not surprising. What is interesting is I watched an episode of Good Eats on Food Network about Beans. Alton Brown explains how the body deals with gas and foods that create it. He said the more you expose your digestive tract the better your body handles it. It just takes time. It's amazing that your body can learn. It shouldn't though. The Chiropractor or even my old Martial Arts (Karate) Sensei (Instructor) told me about Muscle Memory which is why we practiced so much. It is also why you initially go to the Chiropractor frequently at first to train your spine and muscles to remember correct positioning for a healthier body.

Now Infants have much to learn so it explains a lot when you think about it- the mind can learn and so does the body. It all just takes time.

As you can see, there are a few links provided. I do try to show you my resources. You're welcome to click and look. There is a Wikipedia link but it is only because it has so many valid sources available at the bottom of the page. Just thought I'd mention it.

G'night.

I understand. I'm at week 15 with my Son though I was stay at home previously due to moving to new place and being so pregnant.

Take it day by day. It's all you can do.
