Limited edition abilities - Vampire Wars

A few thoughts about LE abilities...
* When Zynga says "limited", they're usually lying. They're just trying to get you to spend favor points. Sooner or later, most things get sold again.
* When they get sold again, they're always cheaper.
* The best time of year to buy limited edition abilities is at Thanksgiving, where Zynga sells them extra cheaply. So if you're insane, instead of buying LE all year round, just save up all your favor points for Thanksgiving.
* Might not be sold again: Flames of Liberty, Army of Snow, Kiss of Death -- which are all also not currently tradeable.
* Sometimes Zynga tries to sell abilities that are available as mission drops -- eg Vampire Lord, Raven Spy, Exsanguinate...
* There is some discussion over whether it's better to buy abilities, or to spend your favor points on boosting your stats. Frankly, no one knows the answer, because no one (probably including the developers) knows how attack and defense are factored into combat, and because it just depends on which LE ability you have your eye on.
* It should be mentioned, however, that newer abilities are hot property, and can be traded for more than their equivalent in multiple old abilities, whereas you can't trade stat points.
* I don't know if there's a rational way to calculate whether an ability is worth buying or not, or whether you should wait and save your favor points. But I do know that abilities will always get outdated. That's the nature of the them. Zynga has to continually change the playing field and up the ante to get you to spend money. Yesterday we had "legendary", then "superior"... Then, "epic" made an appearance with Mummification around Halloween 2009... And sooner or later "epic" is going to be obsolete, and we'll have something like "heroic", "divine", or "mythic" abilities...
* Some people are collectors, trying to get at least one of everything.
* Personally, I just buy the abilities whose pictures I like...

Maybe they're the same level as you, but they've actually been playing the game longer than you. For instance, some people adopt the tactic of camping lower levels, or else hardly do any missions, so they don't go up levels fast.
Or, maybe they're new players but they're getting assistance from other players...
There's also other ways to get limited edition abilities, like trading for them, or winning them in clan competitions.

What zynga should do is make a "Underworld" tab.. Where you can purchase previous Limited Abilities. Much like "Marketplace" in Mafia Wars... And Dracula should be more involved in the game. As well as more than 1 boss fight.. Zynga should also make a Wizard Wars!
How do you enter into a 'clan competition'???
Thanks for your reply

I can't link you to a particar clan right now, but you might be able to do a google or face ook search for vampire wars clans. Or see if there's some more info on the Zynga community forum. Or, I'd you keep playing the game, sooner or later someone will invite you to join one.
