Lighthouse story continued

'What the hell?' The leader of the marines asked in suprise as automatic gun fire continued before ordering two of his team down the stairs. 'Stay frosty and shoot anything that moves' he told them as they went through the doorway.
He turned to the other marine 'Contact the pilot and find out if we can get a emergency dust off?'
The soldier nodded in agreement 'Charlie Foxtrot One are you receiving over?' He said into the walkie talkie. 'Able team, you won't believe what is outside, it's an oczzzzzzzzz'.
'Sir we have lost the signal' the soldier called out, when suddenly there was a big impact against the thick stone walls and they could see flames of the resulting explosion through the small window.
'Well I guess that is the end of the chopper' the radio man said with a resigned tone, fingering the safety catch to full auto on his weapon. Just then there was another burst of automatic fire followed by more screams and then the explosion of a grenade before silence.
'Jones?' 'Murray?' The group leader called out down the stairs.
The only sound that was to be heard was a strange slithering noise. 'Quick help me secure this door' he said qucikly closing the metal door shut and sliding the bolt home.
'What is it John? The other man asked. 'I'm not sure....' before stopping in mid sentence as he spotted something strange in the wall next to them.
As he pulled out his knife and dug the plaster away, he exposed a small spy camera.
'Those bastards' he snarled ripping it away from the wall, leaving just a few wires hanging out of the plaster.
'We've been set up' he said angrily to the other man before turning to face the metal door that was starting to bow inwards from the immense pressure being placed upon it.
It was then that he spotted the fuel pipe that ran up the wall and into the ceiling to where the light room was. 'Of course' he said before grabbing the fire axe that was attached to the wall and slicing the pipe in two, causing fuel oil to pour into the room.
As the door started to give way and a large menancing tenticle slowly entered, both men took hold of their remaining grenades and pulled the safty pins out.
'See you in hell motherf*****' they cried before the resulting fireball and explosion blew the light house apart.
Meanwhile in a darkend room, deep under ground in a secure bunker far away, a group of men watched the live broadcast of the marines final moments.
''Looks like the test was a sucess?' one of them asked.
'Yes it was and phase two is almost complete' another replied.
Hello again
Been a great day in the garden city, weather really warm. Got a call about of those jobs, didn't get a second interview
Oh well and think I might have got pinged by a speed camera tonight too!! I was passing it at the same time another car was, I was going towards it and other coming away from it. So hopefully it was him and not me.
