"The baby @ 7 weeks pregnant!!"

March 30th 2008 21:26
The baby at 7 weeks
Week 7
Date updated: February 20, 2008
Content provided by KidsHealth
Your baby is constantly adapting to life inside the uterus. By this week, the umbilical cord has formed. It will be your baby's connection to you throughout your pregnancy, providing oxygen and nourishment for your baby and disposing of your baby's wastes. In addition, your baby's digestive tract and lungs continue to form.

Are you waiting impatiently to see your baby's face on his or her birth day? You have a long way to go until then, but in the meantime, your baby's face is taking shape. The mouth, nostrils, ears, and eyes are some of the facial features that become more defined this week.

Dreaming of a son or daughter to play ball with? The arm bud that developed just last week has a hand on the end of it, which looks like a tiny paddle.

Your Body
Pregnancy causes many changes in your cervix. By this week you'll have developed a mucous plug, which forms in the opening of the cervical canal and seals off the uterus for protection. (Eventually you'll lose this plug as your cervix dilates in preparation for labor.)

whats suppose to make you better when you are ILL just makes you sicker??? With the flu, I had to be all drugged up an dayquil all day and niquil at night just to survie, and now that I am better with the flu, I have HORRIBLE withdraws and super ickiness all because of the meds you can't get through the flu without!!! "you just can't win." i leave for two weeks in Williamsburg this saterday and i sooo have to bet all better by then. it will be in the 80's and my plan is to lay arround the pool, get me a golden tan and enjoy some laid back, no work, leisure time. Nothing strenuouse, except maybe a little tennis, but that is soooo fun and still relaxing.

My health update!!!

I went t the second specialist today and he looked over all of my stuff. He beleives like we do that that four day bought with pain that made me unable to moved and left me screaming everytime I went to the bathroom, was me passing Kidney stones. I swear it felt like labor!! But the overies are causing pain on their own also, but just a lighter, icky feeling, always nautious pain and the pain flairs in my kidneys. He siad thats all tied together and I have two choices. 1. we could send me staright into menapaouse, which I was ll ready for since i'm 39 and almost there anywho or soo I thought. Jut get em out and get it all over with so i don't have to worry but he said with me not being a smoker, I have about 8-10 more years before menapause. So thats a HUGE mind change for me since both overies and falopian tube and such would HAVE to coem out. We may still have to do this in a few months anyhow, IF option two doesn't work. option two, "Put me on birth control which will shut down my overies and get them tos top making the fluid, the whole things cist and all to shrink some which will HOPEFULLY ease up on my boughts of pain and Ickyness." Sounds like atleast something we should try, especialy since just the thought of me being opened up makes Charlie cry, because the second they open you, stuff can spread. "He is sooo sweet on me and I adore that!!" makes me feel very loved. he ask alot of questions and shakes and cries some about it all. i never dreamed I'd meet a man like him or have someone soo caring in my life like him. He just got off midnights and then drove me alll the way to Pitt so he could make sure I am ok and that we make the right decision. So i start birth control tomarow and go back in three months tosee if the pain is gone and what has happened and go from there.
I like this choice but i will keep a close eye and see what happens

I knew from the second I walked in her office that I liked her. The office was sooo much more inviting and hommie. My other dr had a tv, and some magazines and thats it. no toys, no nothing for kids but he was a family dr. I never realy noticed the no toys because when i was seeing him, we did not have baby on the way. Now with the baby comming, I notice things like that. It's weird how your mind changes like that. it's cute.
So, I walk in this office and it;s realy cute, has a stareo playing country music softly. a humidifier or something of that sort, running, and a whole little play area set up for kids. Kids tables and chairs, a huge toy box filled with toys. It made me smile and the wait didn't eem long at all. I had actualy found myself hoping they wouldn't call me too soon. lol It was almost like morning yoga for the soul. I just felt sooo relaxed and perfect there. Then i met my Dr. She was early 30's. Came in with a huge smile and friendly handshake. i almost didn't shake because I had the flu, but I did see her leaving anothe patients room, shutting the door with a tussue and going straight to wash her hands. i liked that because I did sorta the same practice all the way into the big office building, using the sleeve to my jacket to open the doors and push the elevater buttons as to not spread my flu from coughing in my hands. So i shook, knowing she'd wash and not spread.
She realy sat down with me and talked to me. Not hurried and realy showing interest in me. She even talked to my hubby. My other Dr ignored whoever came in the room with me. I especialy didn't like when he ignored Kaitlyn as if he didn't even recognize her. He just put her in the hospital a week earlier and saw her a few times there. <shrugs> i just don't think he gets to know his paitients. I can't beleive I stayed with him for three whole years.i weighed every single month for six straight months for my gastric bypass and he last my weigh in for month three and caused me to have to start over. I did my first weigh in today and I have lost 12 pounds. Now not exactly because when i first started weighing for this I went up six pounds, then I finally went back down that six and was back at sqaure one, but now, I weighed in at six pounds less then where I started. So, YEAHHHH!!! I am just going to go through the process for the gastric, but i beleive I'm ready to loose it on my own. i have never felt more ready in my life. I may fail, but I don't think I will. I just have made alot of changes in my life, gotten rid of negative people that where in it and causing blockages in my progress with healing my past. and, i'm just ready. then ad a baby on top of it for me to have to keep up with. A baby I have dreamed of for ten whole years. I need t and want to be healthy for him or her.I also want to be healthy for me. Most of my health issues are because of weight. and I am not sayng i will get relay small. Thats just not realy even improtant to me. twenty pounds ago, thirty pounds ago, I was pretty healthy. my blood preasure was never high, no diabetis, no nothing realy besides little things. Twenty pounds and I'd be happy. 10 more pounds would even be good. 50lbs would be great

"No Cancer, Thank God!!!"

March 18th 2008 22:29
Williamsburg
I finally got my MRI results back and I am all clear and I am sooo Thankful. There are some new cist though. One in my esopgagus [sp?] two on each overy. One of which is so big that it is pressing on my bladder causing it to inflame, and causing my boughts whith pain. The pain is mostly lightened up now and I feel 80% better but now and then it's starts to flair up again. I'm just tired alot but that also probably has something to do with the cool, rainy wether. <smiles> I do have to see another specialist a step up from the last and talk about what we will do. Either just take it all out, or just keep a close eye on it. The MRI was horrble for me and if they say I have to keep doing taht very often, I may just take the surgery option. Not sure. i am very clausterphobic and for this last MRI they strapped this heavy board thing to my chest and then slid me inside. i felt extremely trapped and started to loose it bad. I'm frustrated though because I still have the spasms in my kidneys but they just arent looking at them. i do see a new primary care dr on Monday and maybe she will look at them or explain what can be causing that pain, if it's normal and whatever.
i feel like Ijust got a second chance with wathcing closely for my health this time and I am sooo thankful. With the baby being on the way I just do not know if i should just get the surgury over with, get the menapause over with and then have that out of the way before the baby will be old enough to understand a moody mommy. lol no, I think I would do pretty good with it!" Maybe we'll just wait and see if I get another bought with it that was as painful as the one that sent me to the ER. Maybe that won't happen again, but I doubt it.
Thank you everyone for the suport!!!! I thought the worst, hoped for the best and it worked. <soft smile> It's just my way

Pyrinas first time in Snow!!!

March 13th 2008 02:40
Pyrina
She seemed to like the snow ok. We didn't leave her out in it long because she is sooo tiny but I like the pics. She is sooo cute. We changed her name from Pixie to Pyrina. Pyrina means fire and Kaitlyn is a Leo and fire sign. Pyrina is also a Fire sign since she was born December 16th and she is Kaitlyns puppy. I want a puppy named Pixie since I have Tinkerbell already. I was gonna keep pixie but kaite fell in love with her so On April 8th Lil'Bit has a liter due and I will keep one or two females out of that liter instead.
These next pictures are of Pyrina and one of our cats "Boots". I LOVE how Boots wraps her paws arround the puppy. Too cute!!!

I've only had about an hour sleep and I fel horrible. I don't even know why I tried to even lay down. I know I never sleep before Dr appoinments or big test. I should have stayed up and emptied my DVR from all the stuff I recorded while I was away. i did just about catch up on American Idol. I'm sad though because my favorite guy went home. Danny, he was that cute, funny gay guy with HUGE personality. I LOVE that he is not afraid to be himself. He wasn't the one that I thought would be the Idol in the end BUT I loved watching im. i hope he gets a gig somewhere on TV so I can still watch him.

So we're speeding down the interstate headed to Pittsburg for my internel and exteral MRI's. I'm very clausterphobic so thatgives me enough tension as it is. Then the part that it's internel. I've never had one of those but before I went to DC I had an internel and external ultrasound. I figure it's much like that. Wouldn't be sooo bad if only one person went down there, but because I have sooo many fluid build ups all over in my stomach which may be whats causing all the pain because they are pressing on all my organs, My organs are very hard to find, so they had to keep sending in the next step up person to look, until we got to the dr. Me, laying there, legs spread, tent over my legs and such, lady after lady diving in."Oh boy!!!" How emberassing

Master Bedroom

We checked into the Wyndham Timeshare in Old Town Alexandria yesterday. It's a nice place down up in colonial or victorian decor. It's more like a fancy hotel with the ski rise set up, which is nice too. I like the different types of timeshares wether they are like condo's or skirises. When you walk into the room, you see right away that it is not a hotel. The master bedroom is lovely with devet [sp?] comforter and all. Very cozy
