Lifes little slices - November 2007

"I did a no no tonight!!"

November 30th 2007 03:04

I got in the jacuzi!!! Doesn't sound like a no no does it?? Well it is because I just got a new tatoo like a week ago. <big grin> BUT... I couldn't resist because it's been empty for about a month. We drain the water now and then to put in fresh water. Well yesterday or day before , we filled it. It finally hit 104 degrees. well, actualy when we cranked up the jets while getting our suits on, it hit 106. One thing good though, we have a jacuzi that doesn't need chemicles because it has a light that cleans the water. So i'm not even psative if it was a no no anymore. <shrugs> When we got out Kaitlyn scrubbed it like C-R-A-Z-Y. I made the funniest faces, and screamed out. The dogs where looking at me like I was nuts. lol Hope it will be fine. If not, it was worth it. Because that thingfelt amazing and there where a million stars in the sky.

I finished Charlies mom and dads scrapbook tonight. Just got to show hubby tomarow. he worked midnights lastnight, slept a couple hours, then went back in at noon and will work all night. He worked his day off too on sunday making time and a half. He should get a prettybig check again.

I almost have my brother Marcus scrapbook done too. Just two more pages left. Then I'll start Brians and then Burks. Last I have Keiths left and then they are all done.

I finished the "Buckle Up" cross. A tiny bit more clear coat stuff to put on. I'm gonna wait for hubby to finish it because I can barely breath nw from using it indoors.

We had vanilla Hot chocolate with marshmellows tonight. That was realy rummy. Put some logs in the franklin stove.

OMG Charlie is building me a rustic cabin in the woods tis spring. Well,he'll start it this spring. Not sure how long it will take to build, could be a year or so. But anywho, I am sooo excited!!! It's for my b-day, Valintines and anniversary. It's not going to be huge, but cool. It's going to sit almost where the outhouse is. It'll be an "A" frame, because we almost bought an A frame once. It will be one HUGE room with a franklin stove for heat. It will have a ladder going up to a small loft that will fit a bed and reading chair. Downstairs will be a table for games, a sofa bed couch, or bunk beds. Prollythe sofa bed for comfy seating. The front will face the creek with a covered porch to sit even in te rain and watch the creek. On the back will be a long uncovered deck. There will be slidding glass doors out both the front and back to the decks. It will be like an aumish cabin/rustic because there will be no electric or water. Atleast not for a long time. We may sink a pump kind of well, ike what they have at campgrounds. I just don't realy care if it has water orelectric, especialy not electric. I think no electric is kind of cool. Candle light games and such. Takingou back to the olden days. We use to stay in a rustic cabin every year for camping trips for memorial weekend. We LOVED it!!! We have an outhouse out there for emergencies. We can haul water down there for other things. We can also buzz one of the four wheelers up the hill to go potty.

Chris and hubby are building it. Hubby drew up plans for it. When I make them darker I'll share them.

Life is beautiful!!!

"I swear i could sleep a week!"

November 26th 2007 01:39
Illinois
Illinois at my moms favorite place. i spread some of her ashes here over the weekend.
Even though it was just a three day trip, it was an 11 hour drive up and back. Now I am wiped out. got to bed at 5 Am after arriving home from the trip. Slept till 8:30 and got up for church. Went back to bed at about 1 and woke up at 5pm and now i have been yawning all day. I'm always wiped out after a road trip. So instead of doing proof reads, I'm heading to bed early. It's only 8:30 but I listen to my body and If i don't get the sleep it needs, the pain will come and it will come hard.
If I'm not on for a few days, I didn't disapear again. I'm just sleeping. Usualy takes a couple long days of sleep to catch up. I have to get rested because i have a Buckle Up and Save a Life cross that needs finished and mailed by Saterday to Roswell new Mexico to be put on the side of the highway. I hope it will save lives. I feel bad that I don't have the energy to do it now. My health has to come first.

Ashes to Ashes!

November 24th 2007 14:57
Williamsburg sky
everyones sleeping but me. It's about 7:30 Am here by ST.Louis. It's the best time for me to write in any of my blogs although i am REALY tired and just hearing the light snoaring fill the room, makes me a little enviouse. I tried to sleep but i have stuff on my mind.
We pack up soon, turn in the hotel keys and head the 11 hour drive back to Pennsylvania. But before we do so, we have two kids to drop off at their dads. Krystina still lives here and just got news that she passed her GED. Now she can decide when to start at Sanford Brown to be a medical assistant. GED wasn't the road she wanted to take but her wild side earlier on, made school hard. I told her "It doesn't matter how you get there, as long as you get there!"
Chris is also getting dropped off, where he will stay with his father for about three weeks and then flying home on December 11th. I'll still be out of town then because me and Kaitlyn leave on a mother daughter trip this Sunday for Willaimsburg. First we leave on saterday on a charter bus with our church to Hershey PA where we will tour the Hershey factory, go to a christmas play, then shopping and then drive through a christmas lights display. We are also stopping to eat at a familystyle place. The only part i'm regretting is the play. i HATE plays. Hubby took me early on, to see phantom of the Opry. I HATED it and during half time or whatever, I was sooo happy it was over. When i lied and said it was good and something about it being over, he said, Thats just the first half. my face must have shown my boardum because he let us leave then. I tried Fiddler on the roof a few years later with his childhood church at an outdoor stadium and hated that to. So that was it.
i'm a little nervouse for chris to fly because two days ago i had a dream men and women terrorist where walking off the plane ramp all whearing bracelets in black. They all scattered behind bushes and then the plane blew completly into peices. I never figured out why these got off the plane. Maybe they chickened out! but others where still on the plane. It just makes me nervouse because just over the past month i've been dreaming dreams that come true. I've always dreamed these types of dreams though, about stuff outside of mylife though and so far none have come true. I once dreamed the ST.Louis Arch cracked and people fell from the top. They where inside looking out the little windows. Thats never happened. I dreamed about a month ago that two charter buses where follwing one onother full of boyscouts. My family was in the first bus and it flipped over, but we where next to a building which broke our fall. Letting us down lightly as the building gave way slowly. The bus behind us wasn't as fortunate. It flipped hard and rolled, throwing kids from the bus. The roads where taped off and police and ambulances every where. That hasn't happened either. My son is not scared to fly. I'm hoping since i'll be away, that will keep my mind off of it but i'm a mom, so i doubt it.
After we kiss the kids goodbye. We're heading to my moms old place to pick up her dog "Useless". Yep thats the dogs name. My mom didn't name him. She use to have an elderly friend and he belonged to her. My mom took care of that friend and when she passed she left that dog to my mom. My mom had him about ten years. She loved him so much. We're taking him to Horshoe lake to spread some of her ashes. She went there almost every day especialy in the later years of her life when she could not get around easier. It was the one thing she still could do. My step dad would get her wheelchair and roll her out to the car. She loved taking useless out there/ I think she'll enjoy seeing us take him.
I have a fresh pain on my leg. It's called a "Tattoo!" Lol It's a pink and black nautical star that say's "Charlies Girl" around it. Kaity got a matching trinity [I mean Nautical star minus the charlies girl.. I keep wanting to call it a trinity star. Wonder where that comes from. I'll have to look it up. It's a little present to hubby. I don't like often when girls get names of their partner but charlie and I have been together over ten years and never fight. I mean it to . "We NEVER fight!" We have a very rare relationship that I wish everyone had. We treat each other as an equal and care what the other will think before doing anything. We also decide for ourself in the end on what we want for ourselves, but do still take into consideration for the other. He has always suported me. He is not a tattoo type guy but knows I like them and suports me in my decisions.
How'd i get the name Charliesgirl... When we first started dating. I was 28 or 29 and he was about 38. He was always wrapped in college, his church and then work at the mill and never realy dated. We met because he was my best friends boss. She set us up on a blind date and we've been together ever since. Early on in our relationship he took me to his cousins wedding. His uncle was standing there talking to us when his wife walked up. His uncle introduced me as "Charliesgirl!" His eyes automatically filled with tears. He loves me sooooo much. i mean i've not realy seen a love like he has for me. In the movies with all the hollywood glam but thats a rare find.
So now everything say's Charlies girl even my leg. lol he will cry when he see's it when i get home tonight. It will mean alot.
I've had a good time here. I went and watched movies, ordered wayyy too much pizza and soda last night to eat at my brothers. My other brother came too. the house was filled with about fifteen people. One brother chose not to join in on it all. But thats ok. I have only met him a few times in my life and he hasn't had a chance to know us. I will mail him his scrapbook soon for chirstmas and then he will know us more. He also has five kids and my other brother, the one who's house we where at has a hard time with small kids. he said they tear his house up in five minutes. i went out to eat once with my other brother and his five kids and I thought they where wonderfull, but I like kids. Pluss i'm a mom so that helps. Maybe next time.
Thats about it for now. Tammy

"Freezing on Black Friday for Christmas"

November 23rd 2007 20:11
I felt like it was my birthday and i didn't even get anythng. Just seeing my kids faces made my day.
So, Best Buy has been blasting the tv with adds for weeks for a Toshiba laptop with poto copier, printer, scanner for two hundred and twenty nine dollars. I added a laptop to my life about three months ago. Something I had thought i'd never wanted. but when i got it, i felt like i can never live without it again. I am a picture taking freak and am loving that ican dowload pics anytime i want from anywhere. i can still contact friends while i'm away, I do proof reading online and i run a non profit. The ease of my life wth owning my first laptop has been life chainging. With homeschooling our kids and allthe travel, the ids wanted a laptop for christmas.
Seeing that add on TV, hubby and I started our plan in motion. Id be in Illinois 11 hours away on black Friday [Today], while he would be in Pennsylvania. He got off last night at 11 and headed straight tohis Best Buy which is an hour earlier then the ne i'm at in Illinois. His plan was to sleep in his car until about three AM then get in line once people started comming. We where wayyyy off with how huge and crazy people would be for these sales. I've done them for years but it was at stores like Walmart. When Charlie got to his Best Buy there was about five hundred people. people had started camping out early on Thanksgiving. I didn't know yet how crazy his was

1 more day!!! Yikes

November 20th 2007 21:02
Scrapbooking
The front cover of the scrapbook i'm making for my brother mark.
I think i'm gonna have to mail some of these to my brothers. I only have one more day, and maybe a half to get four books done. Well, realy three books because my one brother lives in PA. The other three are all in Illinois. I sooo want to have all 3 Illinois ones done. Sp far all i have is one cover done, and one page. Lol I procrastinated. Well, i was out of town almost all summer. So not exactly. I worked on them yesterday two for hours and hours but that was, bowsing through thousands of pictures finding ones of my kids growing up. I have two brothers that are twins that where adopted out at three. We met them again, not until they were 18 when they showed up on our doorstep. they both then moved to other states, so we have only met a handfull of times. Now they both live in Illinois near a brother i was raised with. I thought showing them pics in their scrapbook of my kids growing up and me growing older, would be nice. They missed alot. Also i wanted to find pictures of our home here in PA because the three brothers in illinois has ever seen our 11 acre farm here in PA. The land is amazing. This room i'm sitting in typing is amazing with high vaulted ceilings covered in wood, 8 windows looking out over the land, two french doors and two sky lights. It's an amazing room. I want to show them our deep creek and fishing dock. Our horses. The wonderful waterfall close to our home and the natural waterslideyou sit on and slide down. I want them to come visit. I go there about six times a year but not once have any of them came here. Maybe if they see it, they will. It's fun here. We live a wonderful life full of everyday fun. Wether we're inside for winter or out playing in our creek, fishing, having a bonfire or whatever.

My cat was killed tonight!!

November 17th 2007 09:12
Williasburg
Williamsburg
We just came home tonight from two weeks away in Williasburg and found that one of our cats had been hit by a car and killed. It's sooo not right because we live on a very secluded street about a mile and a half long. Trouble had wondered all the way to the end and out into the two lane highway. Kaitlyn picked him up and brung him home crying soooo hard. i've never heard her cry that hard. He was one she had picked out and her favorite.
i tell her all the time that she shold be a vet. She has often stopped t try and save kitties taht arent even ours, out of the road. Even when they are totally dead, she still yells for me to stop so she can get them out of the road so they can die peacfully and not get it again.
Before i even learned about the cat, i went to say Hi to my birds after seeing hubby who i hadn't seen in two weeks, and my pups. kali is pregnant and starting to show. lil'Bit is in heat for her very last liter before getting fixed. Tinkerbell is all back to normal after almost being killed by whatever speard through er 4.5 lb body. But anyhow, went in to see Luna and PD and saw they werent on their perch so i knew they where dead. I was sooo heartbrocken but our house has HUGE ceilings and gets chilly. I had them in the warmest room but they didn't make it. Both lying next to each other in the bottom. This was the second Luna. lost the first about a month ago. Our pig Petunia is in Heaven two. She passed last month and i am just soooo heartbrocken. i loved her soooo much. We also lost four chickens this summer and a female puppy. I'm probably forgetting a few things too. My mom passed aug 1st
