Life. Love. Beauty. Protection. Admiration.
five weary travellers set sail
on a dark and
moonless night...
the breeze
pushed their wooden
leaky boat through the
mysterious water....
silence reigned loudly
among them
Life
looked back
over dusty trails
and stumbled steps
triumphs, tears...
fears
deep sighs,
oil painted memories
Love
the heady scent
of smoky gazes
through half-closed eyes
drifted along in the twilight
glowing in the
velvet, star studded
ripples
Beauty
breathed in the
darkened embers
of the night
and exhaled rainbows
of fiery flames
lighting
fireworks of hope
Protection
sat strong
at the bow of the boat
eyes darting
penetrating the black
questioning the
gentle lapping
of thirsty waves
Admiration
sat quietly
at the back
heart swelling with emotions
sighing
dreaming
loving
yearning
A storm
tossed their boat
in angry, tormented seas
lashed by wild winds
but the five were strong
their path
their destination unclear
their light small
but constantly burning.

This poem has so much depth, so much emotion and amazing imagery.
Don't forget the park today and talk to somebody, anybody about anything, even to a duck or two, or a wee bird.
katyzzz....if none of those, a tree.

Flashes of memories
I much prefer this one to the last I think.
I am going to talk to my sister today actually. She is a quandry at the moment so we shall be having a tea or seven. There are some decent clouds floating around today which means there may be a particularly spectacular sunset tonight so I will head to a park I found the other day around sun-sinking time. I have had my chat with the ducks this morning, fed the fish and contemplated shooting the crows across the river, but resisted.
I am heading over to catch your Dali exhibition - it just caught my eye before I put up my next post. Love his work, love it!
Have a great one
