January 20th 2008 00:47
Just wanted to say that. I've been working the day job with extra responsibility and doing my online jobs and forgot to wish all a Merry Christmas here!

This Is For Cathy

October 10th 2007 02:38
It's been a while since I was here. I wanted to write and make money at it, although my writing skills had diminished. I looked around the internet to find something legit and usually found a bunch of crap.
One day I happened upon Orble and found a writer named Cathy who was talking about getting paid to blog. I registered an account and made a few posts (blindly, I might add) just to be able to pm her with more questions. She was kind enough to give me several pointers and point me in the right direction. I now have several blogs and have learned so much, just from that little push she gave me. And I do earn several hundred a month now extra with my own domain name Debslounge and a couple of others. I hope to be more active on Orble soon, as this was my first blog. In no way do I consider myself to be as proficient as Cathy or that good of a writer, but I am learning and trying. I can even type without having to write out everything on paper first!

I just wanted to post something today to show my appreciation of Cathy who writes on Orble at Fakes, Frauds, and Fools. She is having a few health issues, but continues to keep me entertained with her wonderful stories and blogs and checks on me now and again

Martha Stewart Has Been Replaced!

January 27th 2007 02:17
Just to let you guys know, Martha Stewart has been replaced by someone with more generosity than Oprah and right here on Orble! Introducing Gloria Mumah aka "good thing" on Orble. She only has 2.2 million american dollars to invest, but she is willing to depart with 10% of this money to anyone who will kindly give her their bank account information so she can not only invest in our country, but shower you with this most humble gift of gratitude. Oh, oh and she Your text goes heredoes believe in God as she ends her request with "Thanks and God bless". Also note( all you skeptics as you read this email) that she even capitalizes the G in God. Money can't buy everything, like knowing how to spell "dauther" or that myself is one word. I wonder if the "fr" at end the end of the email address means?

Please

Suddam To Be Hanged

December 28th 2006 01:05
You gotta wonder what happened to the good ole electric chair or lethal injection here in the US. But that is considered inhumane. So he's off to his country to be hanged. I wonder, really, will this actually happen? Or will Suddam once again disappear? How will anyone really know if he chokes or not? Don't mean to be crude and not to offend or anything, but really, How?....

The Elderly With Nothing For Christmas

December 27th 2006 02:22
I work in a home service business and used to take plates to many of my elderly customers that I knew had no one. Several of them passed away this year and I did not make those plates. I guess I forgot that as some passed, others were getting older. It broke my heart today to go to a 90 year old lady's home and hear that she had not gotten any gift to open this year. I was shame faced as I pulled out a piece of candy and said "Merry Christmas." She was so grateful and blurry eyed.

I guess that since it seemed no one else noticed my efforts, which were very little in the scheme of things, that I forgot the ones it was supposed to mean something to

I honestly do not understand this. I mean no offense to anyone in the writing field, but don't we all want to get paid for what we love to do? For years I had no outlet for my writing and then came the time where I had no time. Once you get out of this habit, it is hard to get back in and even harder to realize the talent you once had. So here I go, starting over with more determination than talent. Is blogging only for the talented writer? I hope not. For I finally have an outlet that I can once again express myself. One of my goals is to be paid by Orble. Boy, do I have some work to do!
And is it just easy money? I think not. I have spent hours, even days creating blogs, submitting rss feeds, pings, all of these things I know absolutely nothing about. I look up words in the dictionary to be sure I am spelling properly when I don't have spellcheck. I think I earn every penny that I make. And I applaud those that are making dollars!

Please, folks. Let's be honest with ourselves. Money don't fall out of the sky because you "sign up" for a program. It takes at least a little effort. I put a lot of links out there for money making and I have SO many people sign up and then not even confirm in their email! Or some that do and then do not do anything! Honey, if it was gonna drop out of the sky, it would have fallen on ME by now. I think some people just are not organized and do not keep a list of the emails and important info that may be coming to them. I even have had a referral complain that she did not get a check from a highly reputable company and come to find out --she threw it out thinking that it was junk mail!!
Get organized and come back here often for what I do. I earn real money, but I do make an effort. It ain't that hard if you really try and you have someone (me) helping you and that is what I intend to do. $1 at a time. If you have a question, please post it and I will help as best I can. I am a single mom and trying to earn some extra money. I have had some internet friends that have helped me (Thanks Cathy!) and I want to do the same. A lot of what I do is learning by doing and I will help anyway I can. DO something. Keep up with what you sign up for.
I have more that I will be posting soon. So come back

Ain't It Funny?

November 27th 2006 02:39
Ain't it funny how when we are young we just can't wait to get older?
I remember turning 13 and Cindy, my best friend, whose 13th birthday was still eight months away, immediately claimed to anyone who'd listen that she was 13, too. At the time I was a little resentful. I mean, this was my time. Finally, after like forEVer, I was a teenager!
Becoming a teen brought about the breathless anticipation of turning 16. As each year passed and I turned another year older, so did Cindy. When the big day came we celebrated together as we could both claim that magical age to boys. Oh m'God!! It was a great time and I did not mind anymore that she claimed my age. We were, after all, best friends forever
