LG joins the smartphone and tablet wars.

LG Electronics had to overcome punishing deadlines, engineering challenges and its won risk-averse culture to debut its Optimus 3D smartphone tablet to market. Despite its missteps in 2010, LG Electronics is poised to head back into the market; business is back for LG-electronics. The device maker is expecting to rebound after suffering considerable losses last year. It’s hard to imagine LG Electronics, with its aura of invincibility, running into such losses. But the story of how it’s brought its Optimus lines to market-a tale of technological potholes, impossible demands and incredible focus. The company has again announced plans to come strong, with its new Optimus 3D smartphone and tablet scheduled for a US launch on T-Mobile. At the recent Mobile world Congress in Barcelona, Spain, LG moved the smartphone tablet wars into a new height with the release of the Optimus 3D smartphone and Optimus tablet, it’s a two pronged attack intended to deliver a knock out punch to rival companies, and to boost it’s presence in the market. LG believes that this year, the smartphone and tablet market will just get bigger and the Korean company (LG Electronics) will satisfy market needs with its rich line of Optimus devices.
The LG Optimus 3D smartphone is a new twist in the smartphone arena. The handset has a dual lens 5 megapixel camera, which the Optimus 3D’s 4.3 inches WVGA display uses to display 3D content without the use of special glasses. When in comes to navigation users had no problem, users can navigate through the phone’s 3D interface with just the click of LG’s 3D hotkey, the LG Optimus 3D have 5 3D dedicated user interfaces, this includes Gallery Camera, Games & Apps, YouTube 3D, and 3D Guide. The handset offers dual memory architecture as well as the 3D platform, which allows recording, viewing and sharing of 3D contents, LG called these specials offerings as tri-dual configuration. We had no problem during multimedia with the Optimus 3D handset, it can captured 3D content is shared via an HDMI 1.4 connections t 3D TVs and monitors. It also compatible with any DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) certified products; it’s one of the more powerful smartphones to debut this year. With A combination of superb performance and 3D full where users can upload and stream 3D contents on YouTube’s dedicated 3D channels. Optimus 3D handset will be rolling out globally starting with Europe early in the second quarter, the LG smartphone will initially be powered by Android 2. 2(Froyo) and will be upgraded to Android 2.3.
The Optimus pad is a sleek, stylish and could be a great alternative to Apple iPad. Sporting an 8.9 inches display with a crisp 1280 by 768 WVGA resolutions and this tablet is powered by Google’s most advanced, most sophisticated Android version-the Android 3.0 Honeycomb platform. This media tablet was designed to appeal t business users; complete with a 3D camera boasts full HD 1080p decoding and built-in video conferencing. The Optimus Pad delivered decent performance with a single Nvidia Tegra 2 processor; this tablet will give consumers outstanding level of speed, power, and performance. The tablet will be rolled out this March, LG is betting hard on this tablet, for them the Optimus Pad achieves the right blend of portability and poised to set a new standard for what a tablet should be. LG is moving fast, the company is in talks with some major carriers in Japan and Europe about offering its Optimus Pad. Last 2010 LG announced plans to sell 140 million units during the year and grab one of the top spot positions- LG’s real plans revealed, dethrone either Nokia or Samsung by 2012 but LG missed its target, the company sold just 117 million phones and during the fourth quarter posted a year on year change in shipments, worst of all its down nearly 10 percent. Right now the company is striking back, they want the market and they will take it plans with the Optimus lines.
