Jack Ketchum - Off Season

May 4th 2010 17:46
Who knew the quaint beach town of Dead River, Maine could hold a sinister secret hidden deep inside the deadly woods. Night is falling upon the lonely cabin and soon a beautiful New York editor, her sister and their friends are going to learn how deadly the woods can be. Deeply hidden in the mountains something lurks in the shadows, it has a taste for human flesh and its waiting for night to fall.

Jack Ketchum is the offer of many novels including many novels that are now major motion pictures. Ketchum’s novel Off Season published and then was surrounded by a bunch of controversy over its violent, somewhat pornographic tendencies. Ketchum brings horror to a new level with his graphic violence and twisted story lines.

Brian Keene – Castaways

May 3rd 2010 17:36
Do you like the show survivors? Well Castaways is the horror equivalent to the popular TV, although the book is not connected to the show in anyways. Castaways is set on a tropical lush deserted island where people have come to compete on a popular reality TV show, but unfortunately they are not the only ones to inhabit the island. The lush jungle paradise is crawling with half human monstrous beings, while the men are slaughtered the women are held captives for even a sinister reasons that will leave them wishing they were slaughtered with the men. It’s growing darker by the minute and the creatures are coming.

A Bram Stoker Award winning author Brian Keene is the only author to be nominated for four awards in one given year. Keene has had over a 100 short stories published in magazines and anthologies along with many novels.
