Legalization Backlash

Many may say that the legalization of marijuana will result in a drop in crime. We are seeing that that may not always be the case. Crime will always find a way to profit. Sometimes it even becomes more violent than before. In California marijuana reform has seen its first decade of life.
In the town of Arcata there are four legal pot dispensaries compared to two pharmacies. It is a college town which makes one also wonder about the illicit drug growers and sellers. Crime is up and the once liberal residents are in an uproar over what their town has become.
