Smart Christmas Shopping?

December 23rd 2006 08:56
This is a very interesting article that I found from MSN.UK. Perhaps this is just a mind how the Brit's been doing for their shopping, but generally, this happends everywhere across the globe. When I was just trying to send some stuffs over to my bosses's place, who's house is relatively close to a few huge department stores, you can see how bad the traffic is. While it is a 15 min drive to his house in a normal traffic. I took almost 35 minutes to reach the destination through cutting into the right track.

So here's what the UKs been saying. Happy reading

I'd need help from ASP whiz here...

As I have very limited knowledge on ASP programming (most unfortunately not ASP.NET yet), and the COM engines that displays lots of records of result tends take a long time before showing the result pages

Last but not least, think about spending the money on important incidentals in the year to come, rather than spending it all right now. Because bonuses come once a year (or perhaps twice), they are actually very useful in planning for those annual incidentals, which always seem to take you buy surprise – vehicle insurance, birthdays, anniversaries, income tax, property assessment… there are at least a dozen things that happen throughout the year that we often have to resort to our credit cards for

Now that you’ve landed your bonus, the time may be ripe for you to look into buying a home for your future. The property market in Malaysia is pretty damp right now; you can take your time to shop for a decent new house without worrying about prices spiralling out of control before you make a decision. And there are literally hundreds of choices – you will have a hard time making up your mind

Investing in a business is always a good idea if you have enough to get started. If you are one of the lucky few who are offered several months’ worth of bonus at a go (some companies offer 15 months’ bonus!), then you obviously have some serious money to use as capital

Who were you in your past life?

December 8th 2006 06:44
Insipred with my fellow Orblers I was rather curious about this past life thingy.

I know most Christians won't believe about past life, but it is kind of cool and fun to just read what you might have been if you were to reincarnate... probably you need to reincarnate until you accepted God's grace and believe in him... have anyone ever thought of that? Could be possible... but that is only God will know and if I really remember this question I will definitely ask Him when I see Him

8 smart ways to blow your bonus: Safety

Whenever or wherever you are, crime is always there lurking at the dark alleys in every corner of your street, in any part of the world. To be honest, ever since the modern trends of a more “liberal approach” to parties, alcohol, drugs, sex and a whole lot of stuffs to fit you into the “majority”; crime just increases and with the “War on terror” campaigns running around the world, crimes out of desperate measures is just popping out like mushrooms all over the place

Do you stock up food?

December 4th 2006 07:37
Previously I read about Lilla’s article about the Earth is shrinking because of the increase population and greens are turned into deserts because of the extra need of natural resources, this reminded me of an article from a guy who protested and educated everyone through his article about lowering patrol prices.

The theory was getting what you need for the day. It may not be always full tank but if you know that you ain’t driving too much you shouldn’t keep putting full tank

Fact: Basketball Slam Dunk

December 2nd 2006 09:49

In college basketball, the NCAA banned the slam dunk shot at the start of the 1967-68 season to reduce the dominance of UCLA's 7-foot 2-inch Lew Alcindor (now known as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar). For this reason the ban is often referred to as the "Lew Alcindor Rule." The slam dunk shot was not reinstated in college basketball until the 1976-77 season.
