A Different Day
June 26th 2009 20:17
In some ways, today has been a different kind of day.
Going to and from work was no different, but between those two events I did find a few different happenings.
On arrival at work there was a different security receptionist. When I walked into the cafeteria there was a different drinks machine. The canteen furniture had been arranged in a different way. I even came aross a different boss when I entered the office to pick up my keys for my work area.
Outside was different also. For the first time in a while, I was working in shirt sleeves with a lovely June sun smiling down on me. The petrol station was different too; it was clean; no diesel spillage over night!!
The order I had submitted for various chemicals arrived on time - that was different too.
When I got home from work there was a letter for me. When I opened it I saw it was a bill - ah well! somethings just never change.
