Sports Players

May 16th 2012 14:02

Sport is the game which has some rules and custom. It is not only for fun and entertainment, but also good for health. We can do it alone but sometimes we need partners like our friends, family members or neighbors to play. It is because some sports cannot be played by an individual player only. The number of players in a sport can be consisting of two, six, and eleven players.

Badminton and Tennis are two examples of sports that can be played by two players. Playing badminton with two players is called double. They use racket and shuttlecocks when they play it. The one who gets higher point first will become the winner. While tennis is a game with small ball and the rule is almost same with badminton. The two players must not let the ball fall inside their save court.

Volleyball is one kind of sports that needs six players. The players would do some techniques like set, attack, block and dig. Service is one kind of set form continued with jumps and swings before they attack the opponents. Blockers whose position is in front of the net directly block to stop an opponent's attack. Then to dig they will throw their bodies in the air with a forward movement to save the ball.

One of popular sports played by eleven players is football. The main purpose of playing this game is kicking a ball with the foot to score a goal. The eleven players also have their own positions such as back, defender, forward, goal keeper, striker and etc. They need to cooperate with each other and develop strategies to win the game.

In brief, the sports can be classified into three categories based on the number of players. They would get more fun when they play them with partners. The various rules and willing to win the game are some factors that can motivate us to play it not only four our own health like in individual sport, but also for others’ fun and health.

A Natural Help

Coffee
Most pain relievers have caffeine in their ingredients. The reasons are that caffeine blocks pain perception, has pain-relieving tendencies, and elevates mood which also helps minimize pain. Caffeine opens narrowed bronchial tubes and can be useful to cure a congested nose. Ground coffee can also stop bleeding from minor cuts. So there’s no cure for all, but coffee which can most of the time help you with your everyday complaints. Headaches? Cold? Flu? Well, go straight to your favorite coffee spot and order a cup of coffee.
Ginger
Ginger decreases activities if plate-activating factor (PAF), a clotting agent that can cause heart attacks or stroke. This ability is also what makes ginger an effective cure for asthma and allergies. Ginger’s chemical, zingibain, dissolves parasites and their eggs helping to cure infection and stomach problems caused by alcohol. Raw ginger has also been proven scientifically to kill cold viruses at a concentration of less than one part per million. Although ginger often known as additional spice to your food, it also can become one of the most powerful remedies, be it for your cold, allergy, asthma, infection, restless stomach or even motion sickness. Got a sore throat? Boil chopped ginger and sugar together and drink the mixture at breakfast.
Cinnamon
Cinnamon contains eugenol, an essential oil extract that can reduce and eventually relieve pain. Its warm nature stimulates the digestive system and its really effective in getting rid of nausea and vomiting. If added to a hot drink then inhaled, cinnamon’s warmth can act as tonic to the body system and can dispel cold and cold-related symptoms. Got a cold, muscle pains or bad cramps from a heavy period? Intellegence Testing

February 1st 2012 03:44
As early as the mid-1800s, people tried to measure intelligence with various types of tests. One common miss perception was that by measuring the size and shape of a person’s head, a person’s intelligence could be determined. In 1905, the first modern intelligence tests, known as IQ (Intelligence Quotient) test was developed by two French psychologists, Alfred Binet and Theodore Simon. The IQ test was used to predict how well children would do in school.
Since its development, the IQ tests has been widely used in school to evaluate students’ abilities and predict their success. However, it also been criticized for several reasons. One criticism is that the IQ tests does not accurately predict a person’s success in life. This criticism has been supported by research. In a study conducted near Boston, Massachusetts, 450 boys were given IQ tests. They were then followed throughout their lives to see how they would do at work an in their personal lives. Researcher found that an IQ score did not predict whether a boy would have a happy, productive life. For example, they found that 7 percent of men with IQ under 80 (below average intelligence) were unemployed for much of the time. But they also found that 7 percent of men with IQ 100 (above average intelligence) were unemployed. Clearly, these men needed more than intelligence, as defined by the IQ tests, to be successful.
To address the problem, different theories have been proposed. One of these is the theory of Emotional Intelligence, or EQ, which was popularized by an American psychologist Daniel Goleman. It includes skill such as understanding one’s own emotions and relating well to other people. Goleman, believes that a person’s EQ is as important as his or her IQ. He proposes that people be given more training in school and at work to developed their EQ.

Antibiotics

January 29th 2012 14:43
Antibiotics is a drug produced by certain microbes. Antibiotics destroy other microbes that damaged human tissues. They are used to treat a wide variety of diseases, including gonorrhea, tonsillitis and tuberculosis.
Antibiotics are sometimes called 'wonder drugs' because they can cure diseases such as meningitis, pneumonia and scarlet fever. But when the antibiotics are overused or misused, these drugs make a person sensitive being attacked by a superbug.
Antibiotics do not always distinguish between harmless and dangerous microbes. If a drug destroys too many harmless micro-organisms, the pathogenic ones-the dangerous microbes will have a greater chance to multiply. This situation often leads to the development of a new infection called suprainfection.
