In some very exciting Kylie news, to celebrate her 25 years in the music industry in 2012, Kylie will release an album of re-recorded acoustic and orchestral versions of some her biggest hits.
At Abbey Road Studios for the EMI New Music Sessions to celebrate the studio’s 80th birthday, Kylie said:
“I’ve been at Abbey Road for about two weeks in total. Not just for this, I’ve been working on a project for next year. Next year’s my 25th anniversary so we’ve been recording acoustic and orchestral versions of a number of my hits.”
Kylie took to the stage at the EMI Music Preview not only to announce her orchestral greatest hits album, she also gave the crowd a taste of what can be expected from the album singing orchestral versions of "On A Night Like This", "I Believe In You" and "All The Lovers"
Check out the performances of "On A Night Like This" and "All the Lovers" below!
On A Night Like This
All the Lovers
I am so excited about this album and hope that it is only the beginning of special releases to celebrate Kylie 25th music anniversay. I would personally love for her to release an album of unreleased song that have been recorded throughout her career and also an album of studio versions of remixed songs from her concerts. It has been rumoured that the orchestral album will include "Got to be Certain", "Hand on Your Heart" and, fan favourite, the unreleased "Flower".
What songs would you love Kylie to re-record as an orchestral version for the album?
