I love capitalisation. It's a fantastic thing. It Should Happen More Often. Makes things neat and clean. However, I do have a pet hate. The words Supa Centa stricks such annoyance in my poor, poor veins as to cause serious heart issues. Get it right - Super Centre - it really isn't difficult, this English language of ours.
From Dr. Schluss Garage Of Psychedelic Obscurities:
No, the double "f's" above are not a typo. This fleeting psych pop band from 1968 chose these strange looking words in honor of a British cartoonist named Wally Ffolks. Fortunately, and unlike many wacked out obscuro bands, these guys had the songwriting chops and atmospherics to shore up their nomenclature.
The Rainbow Ffolly's musical style does stand out from the rest of the British psych-pop pack. Most bands of the era seemed to use Revolver-era Beatles, Syd Barrett, or the Yardbirds as their basic template to build a psychedelic sound. These guys seem to build their psychedelia more off of the folk-rock sound of Rubber Soul. The ballads in particular are in a distinctly McCartney-esque vein. In fact, there's a song present here called "Drive My Car," although strangely enough it's a completely different song than the Rubber Soul track of the same name.
1. She's Alright
2. I'm So Happy
3. Montgolfier
4. Drive My Car

Note: Kylar doesn't make any money from this at all. This isn't an elaborate scheme to make him wealthier than the fat bald woman who likes to chase chickens. Also, Kylar sometimes like talking in third person.
Alright possums, it's time for another post from ye forgotten friend here at Rhythmatism. If I have any readers left, I have a present for all of you:
From Dr. Schluss Garage Of Psychedelic Obscurities:
Gandalf is one of the more sought after pieces of late-60's vinyl. The strange thing about Gandalf, especially for late-1967 (the recording date), is their lack of original tunes. The two present here, "Can You Travel In The Dark Alone" and "I Watch The Moon," are by no means lacking in songwriting chops. In fact they are some of the best songs here, sporting a great west coast-style (even though they were from Jersey) psych-pop structure as opposed to relying on production tricks alone for an altered sound. Apparently, the band simply didn't have enough original material.
1. Golden Earrings
2. Hang On To A Dream
3. Never Too Far
4. Scarlet Ribbons
5. You Upset The Grace Of Living
6. Can You Travel In The Dark Alone
7. Nature Boy
8. Tiffany Rings
9. Me About You
10. I Watch The Moon
Kylar's favourite track is #10 and #1, but today I have for you track #3.

I'm finished! Thank the Lord and all is good in this little world of mine!
Now, I demand that since it took me longer than CityRail to finish this, you must:

Did you get that?
To celebrate the fact that despite of the NSW Labour Party's gross underfunding of schools, I have learnt my A B C's (do you want to play with me? - I'm sure Gary Glitter would!), I have decided to count down the letters of the alphabet. Do try it with me (assuming you know that B comes after A, C comes after B and so on...)

Well the last post was a disappointment. It only made me realise that people post because they want me to post on their blogs! Give a little people...
My friends car broke down yesterday. I was in it. Another friend (yes, I have many) asked if it was serious, or if I had laughed. I replied "It was serious, I laughed." We sat by the curb-side in Bondi waiting for the NRMA guy to come. Luckily we had a small tape player (since her car doesn't have any CD player/radio/steering wheel), and we started to listen to some of the trashy 80's tapes in her car. Johnny Hates Jazz? I hate Johnny

The good news is I got a haircut for work today. The bad news is that I think I'm going to be fired tomorrow. So, I can't stress this enough; click on the god-damn ads! I for one can't wait till I graduate, earn some money and trample over all the people who I've worked for getting there. And I mean trample.
And you think that was a bad day? [ Click here to read more ]
Our garden is currently being torn up by a company called Rolling Stones. I just finished reading Decembers Rolling Stone. Several days ago I watched a movie about the Rolling Stones. They're been and gone, and now, Kylar starts to enjoy the Stones, late as always (except where it counts!) I've always avoided the Rolling Stones for one reason or another, but when I was taking a browse of the local St Vincent de Pauls (shudder), I found a rather interesting tape; Some Girls. It, in a way similar to what Amanda Vandstone did for me and the Liberal Party, has launched me into a love of the Rolling Stones. It also helps that the original guitarist committed suicide, became hero and now is cool for cats.
I now have the infinite pleasure of presenting the Official Kylar Rhythmatism Favourite Rolling Stones Album List 2007, aka OKRFRSAL2 [ Click here to read more ]
...not quite. Instead, I have something more exciting.
A listing of all the music you, as readers listen to. This is done using a website I like to call Last FM. I'm sure many of you have already heard about this, but I'm curious as to if anyone would like to participate. Basically, all that happens is as you listen to your music on the computer, the website compiles a list of all the tracks/artists played. Thus, if many readers subscribe to this, we can see/laugh at/discuss musical taste and recommendations.

Isn't it obvious when it isn't meant to be? Casey Donovan for one, George Bush another example. This has never been more relevant than one band which defines my annoyance; The Cure. I've heard that their song All Cats Are Gray is a favourite choice for the would-be suicidee. When people want to die after they listen to your music, IT ISN'T MEANT TO BE.

Sorry for the delay; I thought it best to go into hiding while Noel Gallagher visited Australia. Never-the-less, I am back to bring you another exciting issue of Rheumatism. Leaving obscure music for just a moment, the other end of the scale is a one-hit wonder (note: Mark Latham). Here are some of my favourite (and not-so-favourite) one hit wonders...
