Nice post, Ruby.

In depth. Interesting.

I never knew about the misogyny charge! I figured race would play into it all soon. I vacation in a Southern state and I've seen prejudiced T-shirts for sale. Kind of shocking that they are acceptable, hung on stands outside storefronts, in storefront windows, etc.

One T-shirt showed Martin Luther King in a sniper's sight and read "We have a dream too."

I am curious to see if there are enough open-minded Americans to vote Barack into office.

Black or not, he strikes me as just another spinster, charmer, vapid liar. The USA has no real choice in this election. It's same old, same old.

Pray for us lousy Americans. We need someone like . . . King Conan or King Aragorn or even Bilbo Baggins.

We already have Sauron and Gollum (Cheney and Bush).

Buh-bye!

Hey, you never know. The X-Men films were very popular. Expensive cast.

But . . . are the Avengers that interesting? Especially when Hulk is constantly CGI.

I am on the boo train with you, Geoff. That idea sucks.

Who the hell can out-play Eddie Murphy? Who can replace greatness?

Now . . . if Eddie returns, I'm there. But he needs writing credit. If his sense of humor--adult humor--is not tapped, then it might as well be AVP: a flop of flops.

I loved Rambo with the geriatric superstar Stallone. In fact, I adored it! Accurate, current, brooding, and ultra-bloody. Oh . . . yeah.

LOL. That "Top Gun" soundtrack haunted me throughout my childhood.

"Take my breadth awayyyyyyyyyyyyy" The radio raped my ears with that ballad.

"Wayne's World" too. But it's songs were cool.

"The Wedding Singer" brought back that 80's love. So "groovy" and "bitchin" and "totally awesome" and "like wow."

Hey Bianca!

Nice Fleetwood Mac song choice!

Lindsey is an under-rated guitarist. He is really technical, PLUS he sings! That is incredibly difficult. I'm a guitar player. If I sing while I play I either drop the guitar onto someone's head or the lyrics sound like regurgitated ghost howls all of a sudden.

That guy is a talented bastard. God Bless him!

Wow, Morgan.

That felt like a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure novel.

Is this a metaphor for the old mother-in-law? lol.

I will cast a few spells to deter the evil hydra bitch.

"By the power of nerd, I cast thee back!"

"The power of Christ compels you!"

"By the power of Grayskull! I . . . have . . . the power!"

Keep blogging away, girl. I love the "Deep Pencil" blog title. Love it!

Excellent post. Intelligent parameters. Interesting topic!

"Birdcage" helped me see gay life in a different way. Yes, laugh at me. It actually opened me up to thinking about the gay point of view. LOL. To each his own gay comedy, I guess. But I watch that movie whenever it's on TV. It's a heart-warming gay adventure. Like Ryan Seacrest's life.

"Flawless" was another entertaining film. Superb actors treating the topic seriously. Bobby D is a king. Hoffman is a prince. Acting royalty here.

Flesh Gordon !?! lol. Flesh Gordon !?! lololol.

"Aaaahaaaa. Savior of the universe!" (add music)

Thanks!

Oh, Morgan! How could you? J.Lo?

Maybe it's that I'm American and am deluged with Jennifer Lopez commercials, vapid news briefs, and videos--I am so annoyed with this woman.

I feel she is the same character in every single one of her films. And "Jenny From The Block" has not seen the ghetto in YEARS.

BUT . . . she is a natural on screen. Not a "cardboard" monster. I agree. She has talent. Not versatility--IMHO.

She is cute. Nice big booty. LOL. So I guess we agree there. Her music videos are nice booty exhibitions with catchy beats.

"Enough" is the best of the 6 for me. I just wish she could show more depth and variation, like Anthony Hopkins or Meryl Streep or Robin Williams or Jim Carrey or Kathy Bates . . .

Now, Water Torture is extreme, Cheryl. LOL. Maybe like a paper cut that just won't heal. A paper cut on your eyeball.

Sorry, Morgan. I agree half-ways.

Wow! This is a rocking post!

First off, Ruby, you are still making up your mind because you obviously have a mind. The issue is more complex than some trolls want to believe.

Some people will get turned on by a toaster, while most only want to put bread inside its warm slots.

Fetishes abound. Are we all prisoners to some peoples' fetishes? To the mere possibility that an image or painting or picture might spawn a fetish?

Censorship is wrong. Most people can judge whether an image is sexually suggestive without conferring with a government panel or a flock of pastors or a wizard or what have you. It's obvious.

A young girl sticking her rump out of lingerie is sexual. A young girl frolicking on the beach with a ball is not.
A baby . . . well, dude, if you can even THINK about a baby sexually, I say you need to visit the six-foot-under-hotel.

"I heartily invite you to go fuck yourself"--Ruby

Priceless. And oddly sexy.

Oops! Censor that!
