Catch that runny nose
October 21st 2006 21:32
Why do all toddlers have buggers hanging out of their noses at all times? , sometimes just stuck to them likes an old crusty friend. I don’t understand it. I spend half my day just running after my kids to blow their nose. A great pediatrician I had when I lived in Los Angeles told me that if the buggers where clear, kids where ok any other color and you can suspect an infection, usually an ear infection.
In the winter months you can expect your kids to have a stuffy of a runny nose most of the time.. This winter, I plan to fight those suckers and have them run right out of town. Here are 5 great tips to prevent and help those little noses:
1. Make sure they blow their noses often
2. Do not re use tissues
3. Buy lip balm to keep kids mouth stay moist and not irritated
4. Use saline drops to flush out irritants
5. Prop up the hear of the bed for better breathing condition
If your son or daughter has a prolonged runny nose it could be due to allergies instead of a common cold and you should take them to a specialist to have them tested for the different types of allergies..
I’m off to blow some noses and moisturize some lips..
