Kids on Drugs - Total Recall
November 6th 2007 07:37
Something is seriously wrong with kids these days. They seem to be getting on the hard stuff at a younger age each generation. But what chance do they have at a drug free life when the Australian 2007 'Toy of the Year' is made out of the drug GHB - 'liquid e' or 'fantasy'.
Bindeez are little beads which adhere when water is added and seem to be designed to look enticing and flavoursome to small children. In NSW a two-year-old boy and a ten-year-old girl have been admitted to hospital in the past ten days after eating a large quantity of the beads, which metabolise into the drug after consumption. The two children were discovered after they were refused entry at a Sydney nightclub early this morning.
Police have issued a recall and are launching raids on kindergartens and playgroups accross the country. Several high profile NRL players have offered to buy back the toys for twice the retail price.
