The New Jesey Nets are closing in on a dubious achievement this NBA season. They are in danger of setting the all time futility mark in the NBA. The current record for worst record in NBA history is held by the 1972-1973 Philadelphia 76ers who finished that season with a 9-73 record. As of this writing, the Nets were sitting at 8-63, with 11 games to play. Here are the remaining games for the Nets, my prediction for each game, and my prediction for the Nets final record.
3/26 vs Detroit(23-48) Nets Lose No. 64
3/27 @ Chicago(33-38) Nets Lose No. 65
3/29 vs San Antonio(42-28) Nets Lose No. 66
3/31 vs Phoenix(45-26) Nets Lose No. 67
4/3 vs New Orleans(34-39) Nets Lose No. 68
4/4 @ Washington(21-49) Nets Win No. 9
4/7 @ Milwaukee(39-31) Nets Lose No. 69
4/9 vs Chicago(33-38) Nets win No. 10
4/10 @ Indiana(26-46) Nets Lose No. 70
4/12 vs Charlotte(37-34) Nets Lose No. 71
4/13 @ Miami(38-34) Nets Lose No. 72
Nets finish season with a 10-72 mark and miss tying a dubious piece of NBA history by one game.
I will try to update this post as the games are played.
The following are the remaining schedules for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Orlando Magic and Boston Cetics.

The Cleveland Cavaliers continue to dominate the Eastern Conference in the race for home court advantage. The Cavs are rolling along, having won 13 out of their last 14, and now that they have re-signed Zydrunas Illgauskas, they have become even tougher. As of this writing, the Cavs hold a 7 game lead over the Orlando Magic and a 10 game lead over the Celtics. The Cavs and Orlando have 10 games remaining while the Celtics have 11. It would take a monumental collapse for the Cavs to be overtaken by either of those two teams.
In the race for overall home court, the Cavs hold a 3.5 game lead over the Lakers. this lead is a little more iffy then the one in the East, but it is a lead the Cavs can easily maintain

After listening to the so-called experts in sports the last week saying that Tiger owes the fans more than what he gave them at the press conference, I say they are dead wrong. The only people Tiger owes an apology to are his family, becuase they have been hurt the most by all these revelations, and Tiger needs to make these amends in private. He owes his fellow PGA members an apology because they have been hounded by the media after tournaments about the situation, and he owes his sponsors an apology for his conduct. But, there again all of the above apologies need to be made in private, and not through the media.
The sports talk show hosts are saying that he needs to answer questions about what actually happened that night in November, again they are wrong. It is nobody's business what happened that night, that is between Tiger and Elin ONLY!!!! The sports media needs to move on to other things and let the Tiger Woods story drift into the sunset.
I feel it is time for Brett Favre to hang up the cleats for good. He accomplished quite a bit in his caeer, including winning the Super Bowl. If he wants to keep his status as one of the best to play the game, and keep himself a sure bet to be enshrined in Canton, the time to go is now. The longer he hangs around, the more he damages his legacy. The Minnesota Vikings, the younger Viking quarterbacks, and the rest of the NFL do not need the same type of drama he put them through last year. And, quite frankly I think the general public would get tired of it as well if it were to happen again. Favre needs to do us all a favor and go quietly into the goodnight of retirement.
Welcome to my blog entitled My Sports Watch. In this blog I will offer my opinions on the world of sports, and ask for you to comment onb them.
