I began my Stephen King "period" in High School and am still an avid reader of his. His latest stuff
seems very different from the early, much more psychological. You should try "Bag of Bones" I hate
the title, but love the book, I guess i'd call it a romantic ghost story. I also love The Stand. It,
The Talisman, The Mist (a short) and Insomnia.

on What I think of Women

November 18th 2006 16:17
Well said, Josh. My husband and I are both Christians, new ones at that...and I know one of his trials has been fighting the temptation to look at other women. What other people say, do or wear is out of our control, but we are within our control and can avert our eyes. That being said I know it can be difficult to avert his eyes from the teeny skirt that the 19 yr old is wearing in church (and, sadly, that does happen) but he tries and I know, with God he will be able to overcome it.
Natalie is lucky to have someone who appreciates her as much as you do!

on Got Any Potty Training Advice?

November 18th 2006 16:05
Ok, I am in the process of training my almost 3 year old son, so I'm not an expert but he is peeing on the potty so far. What I do, is let him run around naked and keep the potty in the living room (or wherever he is going to be). Yes, there will be accidents, but hopefully you catch him, quickly say no, no we go peepee in the potty (not angrily, you don't want to scare him, but just loud enough that he will stop peeing on your carpet) take him to the potty and if he goes, make it a party. Everytime my son goes in the potty we have a special song we sing and dance around to, its silly and you'll probably feel stupid, but my son loves it. And then he gets stickers to eith er put on his potty or a piece of paper. Anyway, next we are moving on to the wearing clothes and teaching him to take them down and what not then on to POOP. woohoo. Hope this helps!

on Caution, Wide Load!

November 18th 2006 15:54
Sooooooo true... I usually even manage to find the checkout lane with the pole smack in the middle of it and by the time I realize its there, a line has already formed behind me and I have no way out! I also just started shopping at an organic market place and they don't even have an option for 2 kids, so I end up putting the carseat of the little one across the cart and the toddler in the seat, but their carts are so small that now I have to lift the carseat (with 20 lb. baby inside) every time I want to put something in the basket! Arghhhhhh,,,there's got to be a better way!

on Are You Ready For Children

November 18th 2006 15:19
This is just too funny! And true depending on the way you look at it.
I especially like the two goats in the store. I have two small boys and wwhile the youngest
doesn't walk yet, his hands are quick and the older one is everywhere. Parenting is definitely not
for the weak hearted (or stomach for that matter)!

Thanks for the laugh!
