A friend of mine brought up a good point, what makes it ok for a 20 year old celebrity to date a 16 year old, but if you are just a regular person you get thrown in jail. I mean if lets say a neighbor is 20 maybe 21 likes a 16 year old that person gets thrown in jail but if Justin Gaston does it its ok. Wrong I don't think there should be a double standard. If you are 20 and want to date a 16 year old it either needs to be illegal or it needs to be legal for everyone. What makes celebrities so special? It really upsets me because it shows that the justice system is saying that they are better than us. Where is the line drawn? I wonder do they get less rehab for drinking problems or drug addiction, but thats another post. what do you think about this double standard and does it bother you?
Does anyone here think that Miley Cyrus is a good role model for young girls? Every where I look all I see is Miley Cyrus, I don't think that she is a good role model for young girls because she is taking racy photos and dating a 20 year old. Whats next a little Miley running around? I wonder what Billy Ray thinks about this he obviously does not care because she is still running around acting like she is an adult. One thing that really bugs me is that Miley and her father were mad at vanity fair magazine for taking a photo of her in a sheet. First of all her and her dad had to sign a release from before those photos could be published, and second she takes pictures of her self half naked, and third she is running around with a 20 year old boy friend. If I was her mother I would take everything away from her phone, computer, boys, and her little boy friend would not be near her. She wouldn't even have a 20 year old boyfriend what is he thinking she is 16 and apparently not that mature. Miley Cyrus is acting like a little diva she needs to be thankful to be where she is and to be who she is. If I had children they would NOT be watching Hannah Montana because I don't want my children to act like what they see not to mention all of the bad publicity she is getting all over the tabloids. Disney must really be getting desperate when it comes to picking their talent, with low standards like that anyone could just walk in and audition. What do you think is she a good role model and is she growing up too fast?
