on Fortune Cookies Can Sometimes Offer Wise Advice for Writers

July 6th 2010 21:39
Hi Jeanne! I agree this is such a nice way to honor your mom's memory. I sometimes tack fortune cookie slips to my bulletin board. It is funny how when you want to be inspired you can find it everywhere even in a fortune cookie! I look forward to part 2!

on 2010 New Years Video Message for Writers

January 12th 2010 00:08
Jeanne, you are beautiful, warm and inspiring! What a great message to start the 2010 writing year. It is good to feel that support and be reminded that today we light the way for those that will come after us. Thank you Jeanne! I look forward to more video!

Hi Jeane, I'm sorry that you've been ill. I will keep you in my prayers for a full recovery. All of these quotes are wonderful, two that stuck out for me today: "The best antidote to writer's block is ... to write." ~Henriette Anne Klauser and "A writer is a writer not because she writes well and easily, because she has amazing talent, because everything she does is golden. In my view, a writer is a writer because even when there is no hope, even when nothing you do shows any sign of promise, you keep writing anyway." ~Junot Diaz~

That pretty much sums up my business and personal writing!

Jeanne, tremendous tips on maximizing your work. It take a lot of creative thought and energy to create works and writers should get everything they can from a piece. Reprint, repurpose and republish!

on Recent Malware Problems Have Kept Me From Posting

September 2nd 2009 23:41
Jeanne, this is horrible! There was an onslaught of malware in August. Further demonstration that we must be ultra careful with where we surf and what we download. Thanks for this important warning!

on Paradigm Shifts: The Quest for Balance

August 9th 2009 20:58
Jeanne, such a great reminder and one that helps to restore balance. I went through a similar "deprogramming" of perfectionism. More recently, God has re-shifted my focus to the bigger picture - every step may not be the right one, and today I may not resemble the person I will be but His promises for me remain unchanged. Being reminded of my position in Christ has freed me to not sweat the small or big (or at least the stuff I make big) stuff. I am much more relaxed knowing that the bigger plan is not dependent on me getting it exactly right today.

on Write Your Book With Novelist Holly Lisle

July 7th 2009 00:04
Jeanne, I did NaNo last year and often wanted to ask life to just stop and let me focus! Many people fell off because of the word count. Holly's project sounds fabulous. Half the battle is committing to yourself that you will write consistently even if just a little. Having a cheering section helps you stay motivated along the way!

on Writing, Words, and Silence: Your Thoughts?

June 21st 2009 01:27
Jeanne, silence can be as powerful as the words that punctuate the page or verbal conversation. In conversation and the written word, silence can be the breath that allows you to absorb not only the words but the spaces between the words. How silence is handled can also reveal more than words. I think it is a great tool of the writer to know when to talk and when to just be still and allow silence to be the star.
