Twenty five years in the music industry is no mean feat and 2012 marks Kylie Minogue's 25th anniversary of her first Australian single "The Locomotion". In what will be a great year for her fans, Kylie is really getting behind this anniversary, or K25 as she had declared it, and has a whole lot of exciting plans to celebrate.
As already reported, a greatest hits album will be released with newly recorded orchestral versions (see the brilliant new version of "Finer Feelings" below!), a documentary and book are being produced, and in recent news, Kylie will return to Australia to be involved in this years Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras parade and party (see Kylie's official announcement below).
And then there's the "Anti tour"! Still officially unannounced, Kylie had planned to do a small tour this year, playing smaller venues and putting together a setlist of songs that she has never or rarely performed live.
Regular readers of this blog will know that I am a bit of a Kylie fan (understatement of the year!) so I am really excited for all of the wonderful Kylie things that will be happening. Fingers crossed Kylie has kept a few things secret and will have a few surprises throughout the year for us - an album of unreleased material that has been recorded throughout the years would be awesome!
