Melbourne, Australia.
Late 2007 I was signed with an employment agency, Chandler Macleod and their subsidiary group, Ready Workforce. Through the Agency I had ongoing employment as a van driver for Australia Post, yes the very same Australia post that delivers mail all over the world.
During one of my shifts where I was picking up mail bags from the post offices and mail boxes, I twisted my ankle quite severely. As it was my left ankle I could manage to drive the automatic gear van back to the depot where I worked.
Anyway, my ankle was so badly injured that I was put on to work cover. Australia Post and Chandler Macleod flatly refused to give me any light duties at all, I mean...I could have done any office duties, it was only my ankle. But instead, I was forced to stay at home for 3 months on work cover while my ankle healed.
After 3 months I was given a full return to work capacity certificate, and was signed to return to full normal duties in Feb, 2008. The certificate was sent to the employers insurance firm, QBE Insurance and I was naturally thinking I would be back to work very fast, but nothing happened.
I hounded the employers for when I would be returning to work and hounded them and hounded them, by at this stage I was not on work cover payments anymore, I had no wage because employers were not giving me my job back and I was also not on government benefits, so, simply, I was living on nothing, no money coming in whatsoever.
I had a mortgage, car payments, credit cards, insurances, food, bills and on and on. None I could pay anymore because of this issue. I fought for 4 weeks with employers (Chandler Macleod) to get my position back, or absolutely anything else of equal of similar value, which I was legally entitled to.
Nothing happened, I found jobs advertised online through Chandler Macleod and rang them saying I would take it, not only did they not care, but they flatly failed to even return my calls. I stayed without work or money.
Then the lawyers letters started rolling in, threats of eviction, threats of court for unpaid credit cards, threats of repossession of vehicle, you name it.
I rang the employers and explained my plight and what they were doing to me, still ignoring my requests and failing to consider any form of humanitarian welfare or responsibility.
After 4 weeks of trying to get my job back or any job I decided I would have to apply for emergency government funding. So, off I went to the gutter of society, begging for emergency benefits to save my main residential house. Centrelink said, "Oh, you need a separation certificate from employer." I tried to explain, I'm not sacked, they just wont give me my job back after work cover and I'm about to lose my house. I need help, I need someone to investigate this and help me. Centrelink said, well, we cant give you benefits without that separation certificate.
So, I rang Chadler Macleod and said, it's apparent you're not going to give me my job back, because of what you have done I'm about to lose my house. Like they cared. I said, I need an emergency separation certificate sent to centrelink, I'm about to lose my house, I'm having to go to the Salvation Army for rations because I have no money for food, or to feed my dog. Chandler Macleod boldly said to me, "No, we will not send a separation certificate to Centrelink, we will send a letter, but not a separation certificate." They never sent the letter.
BOOM! I battled with centrelink for approx 3 months to get some payments, but in April of 2008 I lost the house via force from Gadens Lawyers in Melbourne. The bank who failed to understand my hardship was ANZ Bank. I asked the bank for a 3 month extension, which would have just saved my house, but they said no..I begged them that I could draw from my Equity, they said NO...they absolutely did not care, and I lost the house for approx $1,200 in arrears, so watch out for ANZ, if you get a home loan with them, you're a bit whacky, they'll sell you out in a heart beat.
Then I had to cancel my credit cards, for the first time in my life I had marks against my credit rating and had to cancel the cards, no longer useful, but I'm still paying them off.
Then a shit fight started to save my car, which was the only one thing I managed to save.
I never did get my job back, nor did I ever get a separation certificate, so I was not sacked, but I was never employed ever again.
I was 4 months of buying my first city apartment and had in excess of $80,000 equity just in one of my houses that I lost. So when we lost the house, we lost the equity as well, Bang, the whole lot like a deck of cards, one after the other.
So because of dodgy employers and a dodgy work cover system, I have gone from being an asset millionaire to scampering on government benefits.
One of the houses I lost I had been paying for over 10 years...so I'm not going to start again. To this day I am still battling this massive injustice and I so hope that anyone reading this who have gone through the same thing will know they are not alone.
There is more to the story than this, this is only a very simple nutshell...but guys!! This stuff is life ruining to the core. ANZ Bank, Chandler Macleod, Ready Workforce, Work Cover, Australia Post, I have not finished with you scumbags yet. I want my god damn life back you pieces of low lying stench.
Caution to ANZ Bank, they're evil, and you won't know this until it's to late.
Caution to gaining employment through Chandler Macleod.
Australia Post ain't much better.
To add insult to injury, the man who purchased my house let us rent it, so now, am paying more for rent every week than what the mortgage cost was. That's darn painful stuff, renting the house you were forced to sell, at a higher cost.
This stuff does happen, I'm one living proof example.
Early 2000's during my time as a tram driver in Melbourne.
It was after the conductors had been phased out, ticket machines had been implemented at this stage and drivers were a genuine one person operation, sitting ducks for violence and abuse.
It was a weekend and late in the evening, approximately 10pm. I had reached Camberwell Tram Terminus and had what they call 'lay up time' at the terminus. So, with approximately 15 minutes to spare at the terminus and no passengers around, I left the tram and stood at the tram stop stretching my legs.
I had been standing there for a few minutes when I saw some shadows approaching from behind me. Luckily the way the street lights were placed cast the shadow in the right direction so I knew someone was approaching from behind me, very quietly.
I quickly turned around and three young males proceeded to try and grab me and drag me across the road to where there was a bus stop and some bushes.
I put up a massive fight to break free from their grasp and did manage to get away from them. I ran in to the tram and locked myself in the drivers cabin.
I rang a friend and stayed on the phone until it was time to leave. Some other passengers boarded the tram, so I felt a bit safer, but these 3 men who just tried to attack me, also boarded the tram and jeered abuse at me all the way from the terminus to Camberwell station.
I did mt best to ignore them and what had just happened. When they left the tram at Camberwell station, one of the males proceeded to lie across the tram tracks in front of the tram I was driving and was doing pelvis thrusts in to the road while his 2 other friends jumped on the front bumper bar of the tram and screamed through the window at me, "we're gonna F you, we're gonna F you."
At this stage in my career, I did not even report the issue to management or union. Both being so uncaring to issues of violence and at a constant level, failed to seriously take any attacks truly serious. There was no point in even reporting what had happened.
Nevertheless, these types of physical attacks continued more and more.
Shortly after this, I had a mental breakdown in a big way. The employers, Yarra Trams, nor the union, RTBU, Victorian RTBU were prepared or even cared to take any responsibility for the things that drivers were forced to see and deal with.
Of course authorities were there to hear you, but that was it, it was speaking to deaf ears, union fees nor employee rights meant or stood for anything.
Approx 7 years after my dismissal from Yarra Trams, I have decided it is time to reveal the hidden truth and provide interested readers with an honest tell all, that Yarra Trams and the The Victorian Rail Tram and Bus Union (RTBU) would do anything to conceal from public, international knowledge.
Physical violence against passengers and tram drivers is a daily occurrence and certainly not uncommon.
Giving approximate year of 2002 or 2003. I was doing a late night shift and was driving the tram towards the city (Melbourne) The tram had approx 8 passengers on board when we approached the corner of Chapel and Commercial Road, City bound.
Upon stopping at Chapel Street, I opened the doors and people boarded and alighted. The lights turned red, so we sat for a minute.
From the corner of my eye I could see a weird movement, a jittering coming from the front seat to the left of my drivers door. My immediate thought was, Oh my, don't tell me someones having a seizure. I quickly looked around and saw a middle aged man, head hanging down having a full seizure and I could see blood dripping from his face.
I immediately flung my cabin door open and went to him..I said can you please lift your head up for me? He lifted his head and what I saw shocked me to the core. His right eye lid was gashed open so much that it was hanging over his eye and his right cheek was also gashed open and I could see a flesh and muscle type structure protruding. The gashes were dripping with blood.
I said to him, "How long have you been on the tram?" He replied, in a very rational and civil manner "It's OK angel, I just got on then at Chapel Street, please just do your job and get me to the Alfred Hospital (which was about 8 stops up, a 5 minute drive.) I said OK, but who did this to you and are they still after you? He said, three men with machete's just then 2 minutes ago, and yes, they may be still after me, but I am not sure. I said OK, I started driving the tram and said to the man, please, look out the window, if you see them let me know.
I explained to the man I would still have to make service stops so I asked him to identify if they were at any stop so I could go straight past.
Approaching the next stop up from Chapel Street, there was a male and female couple waiting at the stop, I said to the man, please help me, have a quick look out the window and tell me if they are around. He looked and said no, I cannot see them. So I stopped and let the couple board.
As I was about to close the doors I saw 2 people running for the tram, they were about 30 metres away, I again said to the man, Do you recognise the people running and he said no, there were 3 of them, not 2, it's not them, wait for them sweety.
Watching my external mirror, the 2 passengers boarded the tram and then a third person appeared from behind the tram and also boarded. They sat down the back of the tram.
As I closed the doors and started moving the three males stood up and walked towards the front of the tram it was them. Watching my mirror I saw them take machetes from their jackets when they were about half a metre away from the man and immediately started hacking in to him again.
Slashing at his back, face, arms, legs and head in a total frenzy. The mans blood was spraying over my drivers cabin door and I was absolutely showered and covered in the mans blood splatter.
At that point, I had no back up and had a split second decision on how to stop this and save the man. I, as a driver had two options and my judgment alone, the other passengers were petrified and I certainly had no help.
1. Keep them in the tram and ring 000, then they surely would have not stopped hacking and would have murdered this man, without a doubt he would have died.
or
2. Emergency stop, open the doors and scream as loud as I could and do everything in my power to get these criminals out of the tram and save the victims life.
So, within a split second, I put my foot on the accelerator as hard as I could, the 3 men lost their balance with the shift in speed, then when I had picked up enough speed I used the dead man pedal to do an emergency stop, again the 3 criminals lost their balance and all came flying and crashed in to a big heap at my drivers cabin door...I opened the door and screamed as loud as I could, get the F out, get the f out, the police are on their way. The 3 men clambered out the door and sprinted down a alleyway like little rats.
I then immediately closed the doors, rang 000 again and did not even bother calling fleet. I called fleet second. To which they also called the police.
I did not even bother stopping to check the man, I just yelled out, can you hear me, he said yes angel, I can hear you, I am awake babe. So we raced to Alfred Hospital as quick as we could. Before reaching the hospital I said to the man, if there is no doctor waiting for you at the stop I will take you across, he said, thank you so much.
At that point I announced to the passengers that I would be shutting the tram down to walk him across to the hospital if no doctor was waiting. Every passenger approached me and said, no, we will take him across for you.
I said really! You don't have to do that, the passengers said...Yes we do, that is the least we can do for you. When we arrived at the Alfred Hospital I spoke to the man and explained to him, there is no doctor waiting for you here, so the passengers are going to walk you across to triage.
He looked at me and cried and said, you have all been so good, and you did save my life. I then said to the passengers, I will wait for you here, they said no, don't wait. We are just a 5 minute walk from St Kilda Rd, we can get another tram easily enough from there.
After the victim left the tram, I rang fleet and requested the tram be taken out of service for hygiene and contamination issues, and including, my uniform was bright red. Fleet deemed the tram out of service and I found a replacement tram for the passengers who continued their trip to the city.
As best to my knowledge the victim was OK and did survive, but he would have been left with many severe scars.
The aftermath for myself was nothing, I had to deal with what I saw, the tramways or union did not offer any form of support or debriefing at all. To this day, the feel of that mans blood spraying all over me was horrendous.
The victim told me, he believed that it may have been sexual orientated attack. His confidence was so low that he told me he deserved it. I said, come on Mr, no matter what, no one for any reason deserves attempted murder. He looked at me and cried and said thank you angel, you are right.
That poor man was so nice to me, even after his attack, he remained calm and rational. With his life flashing before his eyes, he still had the mental ability to be good with everyone who was helping him. I have to give him credit for that.
Keep an eye out for more tell all's.
Back in approximately 2002 during my time working as a tram driver in Melbourne there were many violent incidences.
Here is one of many stories I will share.
The corruption, violence and lack of staff professionalism is worthy of noting for everyone to read.
I was driving a tram, out of the city towards Camberwell on Malvern Road. It was approximately 8pm or 9pm at night. There were not many passengers on the tram, maybe about 15 people. It was a very quiet trip and that late workers were relaxed in the tram and all was peaceful.
There was one male passenger sitting directly behind my drivers cabin. He was alone, and apparently traveling home from work as he was in a suit and very nicely dressed, professional looking.
Upon approaching one stop and male and female couple from the back of the tram pulled the cord to hop out at the next stop. I stopped the tram and opened the doors, instead of the couple alighting from the near rear exit they walked to the front of the tram. Nothing wrong with this, many people do that, some for safety because cars do not stop and some to say thank you to the driver. So I did not think of it as strange that they were coming to alight from the front door.
As the woman left the tram and the male was about to leave the front door he as quick as lightning doubled back in to the tram and hurled a bottle of beer at the man who was sitting behind me and calling him a child molester, completely random and manically out of control, hurling abuse at this poor man who he just threw the bottle of beer at while he was literally foaming at the mouth as he hurled verbal obscenities.
The bottle of beer crashed on the mans shoulder and then smashed open on the wall behind him where he sat. The man did not know what to do, he wiped his suit and stayed quiet.
At this point I will say, I hated my job, but if anyone ever toyed with a passenger I would b the first one in to defend them. So, me being me, I said from my drivers cabin....to the offender..."You can wait out there on the street for the police" He screamed back at me, "This guy toys with Children." I said to him, well obviously you know this man very well to pass such accusations" He said no, I do not know him at all.
So, the offender and his female companion proceeded to wait on the nature strip as I stated for the police to arrive. I closed the doors so the couple could not get back in the tram and left the drivers cabin and did a speech to all of the passengers. I said "You would all be aware of what just happened! I will b holding this tram until police arrive, if any of you have a problem with this, then just remember, if it was you that this happened to, I would do exactly the same to defend any of you, this man or any one does not and should not have to deal with this violence in a public place where you should be safe." All of the passengers said, no that is OK...we are with you.
From here I called fleet on the tram AVM and requested police. Explained what had happened. Fleet told me to "Continue on driver." I said no, do you understand that a passenger, one of your paying customers has just been assaulted, police assistance is required and that I refused to move on without this issue being formally reported.
So, then fleet said, we will send an inspector out to review the situation. 20 minutes later a runty inspector by the name of Con arrived. I opened the doors and he boarded the tram, "Whats going on?" I told him and said, Im not moving until the police arrive. The inspector did not even ask the victim id he was OK. He did not care one single bit. Then the inspector abused me and told me to continue driving and I should not worry about this. He said it right in front of the victim.
So I went mental and told him he has no customer ethics whatsoever, what if that bottle broke the mans jaw or worse, a formal report of assault needed to be taken down. He refused to call the police....so me, him and the passengers came to a stale mate. One passenger from the back of the tram approached the inspector and said "Who the F are you? This girl is doing the most amazing job at protecting the passengers welfare and you come on the scene and you can't even show comradeship, group work or customer skills...get the F out of the tram a**hole."
The inspector, like a scared little rat left the tram...as he left, I said to him, you wait out there with the offender and I will call the police myself. I rang the police of my own merit. Then I rang fleet tot ell them I had called the police and that the inspector was instructed to wait with the offender until the police arrived. After this I started driving.
I spoke to the victim, and the other passengers...we all had a good chat and they were so disgusted at how the whole situation was handled and that my so called superior would not back me or the victim up at all.
I urged the victim and all passengers to make their own reports and complaints but I don't think that they did. The police did arrive and picked the offender up.
This is only one story of violence that I have seen on public transport, please people, be so careful. I would have given my life for any passenger while I was employed in the trams, but its a shame that in such a world renowned organisation that the staff cannot even figure out how to perform unity.
Meanwhile I was eventually sacked and that runty inspector kept his job, and these are the morons that the people have to travel with and deal with. Just all...be so careful on the transport...it is really volatile and incredibly unprofessional.
So, for us Australians, we see candy coated TV commercials for work cover - work safe.
Scenario 1 TV commercial - currently running -
Injured employees, all depressed, stuck at home and them getting back to work as fast as possible and a rally of good work mates patting them on the back upon their return and a candy coated campaign of a real world in the eyes of work cover - work safe and what they want the public to believe through their media campaign.
I hope that they run this below campaign
Scenario 2 TV commercial - should be in production -
An injured employee, stuck at home, they do not get their job back after being cleared from work cover, the work cover investigators do not back them up and they stay stuck at home, no work cover, no employment, no emergency government funding, then the tv ad to show the bank putting their mortgage over to the lawyers because they cannot afford the payments and then for the tv commercial to show the forced sale of their family home and the further, long term depression that this issue has caused, and then for that same employee, a downward spiral from employment to the government benefits.
Run the second ad please, see how the people will warm to that idea. Because that does happen more than we would care to know.
Why a reality check?
Because sadly there are some humans that walk around with
1. The belief that it's all about them or
2. That animals are here for us....
what rubbish...
We owe them everything as our pets because we, the humans have placed the animals in a situation where we are all they have...That in itself is a massive consideration when buying a pet, especially a dog.
A dog is by natural selection, a pack animal, you're no hero if you leave your poor dog out in the back yard day after day alone...that's like an eternal scalding for the poor being. A dog will never want the responsibility of being alpha in the pack, that's to much of a job for a dog, but in the same breath, a dog, as a member of your pack must have a job and to fit in to that role. For a dog to have a role, it MUST be a member of your pack...not left alone day after day.
Below is the reality check of what some people do...the people I specifically mention in this post are the one who, selfishly have sent animals to shelters...for whatever reason....I would personally consider a likeness and similarity to sending an animal to a shelter as to scooping up your biological kids and shipping them off to a human shelter when they get to big or start costing to much...consider that...if you cannot consider that, then no animal should ever be surrendered for selfish purpose.....
A Letter from a Shelter Manager - anonymous in North CarolinaYour text goes here
I think our society needs a huge "Wake-up" call. As a shelter manager, I am going to share a little insight with you all...a view from the inside if you will.
First off, all of you breeders/sellers should be made to work in the "back" of an animal shelter for just one day. Maybe if you saw the life drain from a few sad, lost, confused eyes, you would change your mind about breeding and selling to people you don't even know.
That puppy you just sold will most likely end up in my shelter when it's not a cute little puppy anymore. So how would you feel if you knew that there's about a 90% chance that dog will never walk out of the shelter it is going to be dumped at? Purebred or not! About 50% of all of the dogs that are "owner surrenders" or "strays", that come into my shelter are purebred dogs.
The most common excuses I hear are; "We are moving and we can't take our dog (or cat)." Really? Where are you moving too that doesn't allow pets? Or they say "The dog got bigger than we thought it would". How big did you think a German Shepherd would get? "We don't have time for her". Really? I work a 10-12 hour day and still have time for my 6 dogs! "She's tearing up our yard". How about making her a part of your family? They always tell me "We just don't want to have to stress about finding a place for her we know she'll get adopted, she's a good dog".
Odds are your pet won't get adopted & how stressful do you think being in a shelter is? Well, let me tell you, your pet has 72 hours to find a new family from the moment you drop it off. Sometimes a little longer if the shelter isn't full and your dog manages to stay completely healthy. If it sniffles, it dies. Your pet will be confined to a small run/kennel in a room with about 25 other barking or crying animals. It will have to relieve itself where it eats and sleeps. It will be depressed and it will cry constantly for the family that abandoned it. If your pet is lucky, I will have enough volunteers in that day to take him/her for a walk. If I don't, your pet won't get any attention besides having a bowl of food slid under the kennel door and the waste sprayed out of its pen with a high-powered hose. If your dog is big, black or any of the "Bully" breeds (pit bull, rottie, mastiff, etc) it was pretty much dead when you walked it through the front door.
Those dogs just don't get adopted. It doesn't matter how 'sweet' or 'well behaved' they are.
If your dog doesn't get adopted within its 72 hours and the shelter is full, it will be destroyed. If the shelter isn't full and your dog is good enough, and of a desirable enough breed it may get a stay of execution, but not for long . Most dogs get very kennel protective after about a week and are destroyed for showing aggression. Even the sweetest dogs will turn in this environment. If your pet makes it over all of those hurdles chances are it will get kennel cough or an upper respiratory infection and will be destroyed because shelters just don't have the funds to pay for even a $100 treatment.
Here's a little euthanasia 101 for those of you that have never witnessed a perfectly healthy, scared animal being "put-down".
First, your pet will be taken from its kennel on a leash. They always look like they think they are going for a walk happy, wagging their tails. Until they get to "The Room", every one of them freaks out and puts on the brakes when we get to the door. It must smell like death or they can feel the sad souls that are left in there, it's strange, but it happens with every one of them. Your dog or cat will be restrained, held down by 1 or 2 vet techs depending on the size and how freaked out they are. Then a euthanasia tech or a vet will start the process. They will find a vein in the front leg and inject a lethal dose of the "pink stuff". Hopefully your pet doesn't panic from being restrained and jerk. I've seen the needles tear out of a leg and been covered with the resulting blood and been deafened by the yelps and screams. They all don't just "go to sleep", sometimes they spasm for a while, gasp for air and defecate on themselves.
When it all ends, your pets corpse will be stacked like firewood in a large freezer in the back with all of the other animals that were killed waiting to be picked up like garbage. What happens next? Cremated? Taken to the dump? Rendered into pet food? You'll never know and it probably won't even cross your mind. It was just an animal and you can always buy another one, right?
I hope that those of you that have read this are bawling your eyes out and can't get the pictures out of your head I deal with everyday on the way home from work.
I hate my job, I hate that it exists & I hate that it will always be there unless you people make some changes and realize that the lives you are affecting go much farther than the pets you dump at a shelter.
Between 9 and 11 MILLION animals die every year in shelters and only you can stop it. I do my best to save every life I can but rescues are always full, and there are more animals coming in everyday than there are homes.
My point to all of this DON'T BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER PETS DIE!
Hate me if you want to. The truth hurts and reality is what it is. I just hope I maybe changed one persons mind about breeding their dog, taking their loving pet to a shelter, or buying a dog. I hope that someone will walk into my shelter and say "I saw this and it made me want to adopt". THAT WOULD MAKE IT WORTH IT.
For anyone who has read my other posts you may be aware that I used to drive trams in Melbourne from 1994 to 2004. What a stinking violent horrid place of employment..anyway!
Recently a certain Tram Driver who used to be one of my best work mates has received a fair whack of media attention and public naming via print and radio about some of his unethical work standards. That being, taking photos of sleeping passengers and placing them images on the internet.
It is apparent to anyone that he was unhappy with the system and for some reason or another felt like some form of revenge or payback or I don't know what he was thinking when he did this.
The issue received a huge amount of media attention and the employee was publicly named.
I write this post in concern to the medias actions and at the apparent element of fairness of just cause in their actions towards this employee.
Reason being...recently I have been thinking about how Melbourne radio celebrity Derryn Hinch has received house arrest for helping victims and for naming pedophiles at a public (media) level.
Shame on the media and the legal rights. Why publicly name one disgruntled employee at mass media level but then give another celebrity house arrest for trying to protect families and children from the true rock spiders of the world.
To me, this does not ring true and the fairness does not balance out in my eyes. Why the heck should you protect rock spiders from their absolute harm of other innocents but rip apart one person who may have done something wrong but in the end, harmed no one physically.
Why is the employee not protected from having his name dropped all over the place? But another trying to prevent harm receives house arrest for seriously trying to make this world a better place.
Maybe The high end legal authorities brown nosers have something to hide? Maybe they want to protect their own hobby? Something has to change in a big way, because this smells of the most awful corruption.
Shame on you ABC TV for showing such a disgusting and pungent stench of cruelty and redneck type of TV Show.
You should seriously consider closing your station after putting this to air. You obviously, as a station, promote animal cruelty. My Programmer, youre an utter moron. Mr stuff the World Producer/Director, you aint much better.
For anyone who did not see this show, you didnt miss much except a bad taste of cruelty and an acidic after effect in the mouth.
To see a grown man take his young Daughter (Thing) in to the woods so she could shoot a Deer, not only kill it but then laugh about it. He gets the young Daughter to sit on the dead Deer while she laughs and says "Its gushing, its gushing, I think its funny." God damn rednecks with your stupid caps and oh such lovely ideas of raising the next generation...
Fully grown men rant about how much they love an animal so much that they have to kill it, what mentally challenged inbred morons you all are. To see men in this program kill Monkeys and lions and Leopards and Cheetahs and then pat each other on the back and laugh about their murdurous crime, while their egos get a momentary self glorified boost and their tiny dicks flapping in the wind.
For the sake of what may I ask you stinking murdering rednecks? And how dare you ABC TV to promote this stuff and boost their egos that little bit more. Shame ABC, Shame on you.
I was once an avid watcher of ABC but not now, you can go to hell with all your redneck murderers. No way id kill a Monkey and then decide Id shot it to much to stuff so ill drag it behind a truck so I can lure in a Lion or Cheetah and FKN kill that to, youre all inbred....go stay with your SIS and leave the god damn animals alone, they have to battle enough with poachers let alone you selfish and self gloified stealers of life.
And no youll never change, rednecks are just that....and all the showers and baths in the world will never wash off the filth that you create. No get out of the worlds face and go stuff yourselves, see how you like it....
Gone are the days of yummy hot chips and lots of them for 80 cents or $1.00, wrapped in newspaper.
How much are potatoes per kilo? $1or $2.
The other day I decided to get a hamburger and fish for my grandmother and some hot chips.
Id been to this particular shop before and noticed things were a bit minimal to say the least, but I thought "maybe its a bad patch, maybe they unknowingly didn't put many chips in."
So i waved it off and tried again, this time around costing me $17 for one piece of fish, a hamburger and $3 of chips.
When I got home and opened the chip paper, myself and my grandmother had to laugh..there was this little offering of hot chips in the box. So few in fact that I decided to count them.
I proceeded to count the chips minus the crunchy dregs, there were 22 hot chips. So i cheerfully asked my grandmother if she wanted 11 chips with her fish.
22 hot chips for $3
11 hot chips for $1.50
approx 14 cents per measly hot chip.
So, we wont go back.
A big thank you to Hampton Park fish n chip shop, victoria, Australia, the one near safeway for being the stingiest rip offs around.
$17 for a hamburger, one piece of fish and 22 chips, you rock socks mr fish n chip shop man...
I do not check my facebook very often, but checking it today i found this group invitation, when is it going to stop? I urge you Guillermo Vargas Habacuc to come to Australia so I can fillet you with no pain killers. People like you Guillermo Vargas Habacuc should never have been born...PIG PIG PIG....not a pig, not even phytoplankton....not even pond scum..
Please, if you want to see pictures there are many on the internet, I could not post the pictures.
THE STORY:
In 2007, the 'artist' Guillermo Vargas Habacuc, took a dog from the street, tied him to a rope in an art gallery and began starving him to death.
For several days, the 'artist' and the visitors of the exhibition watched, emotionless, the shameful 'masterpiece' based on the dog's agony, until eventually he died.
Does THIS sound like art to you?
But this is not all... the prestigious Visual Arts Biennial of Central America decided that the 'installation' WAS actually art, so Guillermo Vargas Habacuc has been invited to repeat his cruel action for the Biennial of 2008.
Let's STOP HIM!!!!!

Please do it. It's free of charge, there is no need to register, and it will only take 1 minute to save the life of an innocent creature.
AND, for those of you saying "This is all a hoax, etc," here is a direct quote FROM THE 'ARTIST' himself!:
"I knew the dog died on the following day from lack of food. During the inauguration, I knew that the dog was persecuted in the evening between the houses of aluminum and cardboard in a district of Managua. 5 children who helped to capture the dog received 10 bonds of córdobas for their assistance. The name of the dog was Natividad, and I let him die of hunger in the sight of everyone, as if the death of a poor dog was a shameless media show in which nobody does anything but to applaud or to watch disturbed. In the place that the dog was exposed remain a metal cable and a cord. The dog was extremely ill and did not want to eat, so in natural surroundings it would have died anyway; thus they are all poor stray dogs: sooner or later they die or are killed."

INCREDIBLE UPDATE!!! (4.23.08):
A group member just sent me this article from WSPA (world society for the protection of animals) and, if everything written is true, WE DID IT! Vargas WILL NOT be allowed to repeat his "installation" at the Biennial:

"No excuses for cruelty
In 2007, artist Guillermo Vargas showed an emaciated live dog in a Nicaraguan gallery. Despite public outcry, the country's lack of animal welfare laws meant he faced no consequences. This year, when Vargas was invited to compete in an art show in Honduras, WSPA and member society the Honduras Association for the Protection of Animals and their Environment (AHPRA) acted to ensure this cruelty could not be repeated by any artist.
Elly Hiby, WSPA's Head of Companion Animals, commented: “Information regarding the treatment and fate of the dog used in the 2007 exhibition is inconsistent, but for WSPA – irrespective of the exact outcome – chaining a dog without food or water for public entertainment is a reprehensible abuse”. Our attempts to discuss the matter with Vargas' representative were met with silence.
But images from the Nicaraguan gallery were not forgotten. When Vargas was invited to enter the VI Central American Visual Arts Biennale (to be held in Honduras this year), an independent internet petition against the artist and his work attracted over two million signatures. WSPA sought a meeting with Business Owners for Art (Empresarios por el Arte), one of the sponsors of the Honduras Biennale.
In the meeting, WSPA's representative gave sound welfare arguments against the work shown in Nicaragua and formally requested that the Honduras AHPRA be invited to observe the Biennale exhibition.
After pressure from WSPA, the Honduras AHPRA and the public, the Biennial organizers have agreed not only to make AHPRA official observers but also to include new competition rules that prohibit the abuse of animals.
While we are satisfied that no-one will be able to abuse animals in the name of art during this forthcoming exhibition, stronger laws need to be in place that prohibit animal cruelty. WSPA and member society UCC are currently supporting a campaign, led by the Commission for Natural Resources and Environment of the Nicaraguan Assembly, calling for legislation to protect animals in Nicaragua.
You too can support the protection of animals worldwide by signing the Animals Matter to Me petition. This calls for a Universal Declaration on Animal Welfare, an internationally accepted set of principles about the treatment of animals that would encourage countries to improve their legislation."
