Just posting for the sake of posting
I know I need to post something, but I`m not really sure what to post because I`m feeling rather lethargic today and don`t fancy thinking about anything, so I'll share a few photos of the snow we had yesterday. There should be more on the way today, it`s certainly chilly enough for it!
Travelling through the countryside was like being stuck on a constantly changing Christmas card. It was beautiful everywhere you looked, fields covered in layers of the fluffy stuff and tree branches, bare from the winter months, outlined in white.
Like the good kids that we are, my aunt and I had a snow fight... which managed to end up in my grandmothers lounge. As you can imagine she wsn`t very impressed, but hey... we brought snow to her seeing as she didn`t want to come outside. I really thought we were being rather considerate actually!
The Zimbabwean elections are doing my head in at the moment. Can no one just go in there and get the results out and let it be done? He`s lost the election... get him out! Without a doubt it`s going to get violent soon, the normal intimidation tactics being brought out to force people to vote for the Mugabe regime in the run off.
It`s a wonder that the world stands by and watches this man get away with what he does. The bread basket of Africa now nothing more than a wasteland of broken souls. They are introducing the $50 million bank note soon - what a joke. And they aren`t even currency they are just bearer cheques.

Sea gulls also do my head in. I can hear them carrying on outside. I used to love them, but then after living with them for 2 years I found out what little scavangers they are and how much mess they make. The boats are bobbing in the harbour and the sound of the rigging hitting the masts is very soothing, so that`s counteracting the cawing.
And this is now turning into a ramble about rubbish so enjoy the photos, enjoy the day... I'm off for hot chocolate in front of a crackling fire!

We woke up over the weekend to this glorious stuff - it covered the whole country delaying flights and creating havoc! These pictures were taken when I was in Hampshire.

Lovely photos, I loved the ones of Brighton on your Facebook too. I saw the girl with pink hair - are there a lot of people with unusual colours in their hair, tattoos and piercings? That would remind me of Barcelona... I saved the pic with the graffiti for my personal collection...
I'm appalled by Mugabe's refusal to disclose the results, I really hope it doesn't deteriorate into violence.

Yeah Brighton is a vibrant place. Because it has such a huge gay population I think anything goes - people feel really relaxed about being there because there is very little judgement - something I think comes from a gay community anyway. There is also a huge student population here as a lot of people come over from Europe to learn English here, there are language schools coming out your ears in this place.
The place with the grafitti is one of my favourite places in Brighton - unfortunately they have blocked it all off now and it looks like they are bulldozing that area. Anyways I`m going to do a post on there soon.
I am a little out of touch with what is going on in Zimbabwe at the moment as I haven`t been watching the news but as far as I know the results still aren`t out - it really infuriates me how the world is standing by and watching what is happeneing yet they are boycotting the Olympics, beating the Tibetan Monks and killing people in Iraq.

ah yes... the snow was inspiring! Wait until you see the photos from Ireland... oooooh I was in PURE heaven!
Zimbabwe sure is getting attention and I`m hoping they are going to keep at it. The UK PM is getting right into it. Zimbabwe is also the only country in the world that does not have an official currency (they use bearer cheques which are only valid for 1 year) and is also one of the few countries in the world where you cannot claim your birth right so for people like me who are in limbo with citizenship, we actually belong nowhere!
Keep strong

Ireland? Oh, you lucky thing!
It was nice to hear Brown speak out about Zimbabwe, lets hope Mbeki puts some pressure on Mugabe...
I didn't know that you can't claim your birth right in Zimbabwe... I know that the Libyan authorities were not interested in doing the paperwork necessary when I was born there in 1983, so I am listed as having been born in Bulgaria instead. I don't know if it's still the same. Do you know which other countries apart from Zimbabwe have this system?

Lovely pics friend. Winter lethargy? I hope that your winter doldrums are passing. (Snow ball fights probably help with that)

Ireland was wonderful, seems like a dream now! Looking forward to having a scroll through the pics when I get a chance. Can`t even seem to have a rest even when I`m on holiday whew!!!!
I`m not sure where else works on this system, all I know is that I`m getting sick of this man ruining my country and killing my people. Something has to give... I`m just glad that ship is back on it`s way to wherever it came from
