When Sam and Jessica get to the diner they see Dean in the Impala parked at the farthest end of the parking lot. They walk over to see what he is up to. Dean has dosed off. Sam knocks on the window starling him. He rolls the window down.

Dean says, “Careful Sam. I don’t want to have to get the window fixed again.”

Sam says, “Sorry, , I was just worried when I saw you out her by yourself sleeping. Is everything OK?”

Dean says, “Yeah, I’m just a bit tired. I didn’t sleep much last night. You know…Candi was awesome but I didn’t sleep.”

He winks. Then he grins looking behind Sam at Jessica. The looked revitalized and happy compared to Dean’s sluggish exhausted look.

Dean says, “Can I have a word with you alone Sam? I need a little brotherly help.”

Sam says, “Yeah, ok. Honey can you go grab us a booth. Go ahead and order to. You know what I like.

Jessica says, “Ok Samuel. Dean, do you want me to order you something?”

Dean says, “Yeah, whatever the special is with a side of extra beacon.”

Jessica walks off headed toward the diner door. Dean gets out of the Impala. He leans against the front end watching his brother’s girl walk away. Sam slaps his up side the head for watching her backside a bit to close.

Sam says, “So, what do you need help with? I know you didn’t ask to talk to me alone just so you could watch her walk away.”

Dean says, “Oh, sorry. It’s just a reflex reaction. I have enough girls. Candi’s a great girl to hangout with while we’re here, but Mila is on her way. She called all upset. She lost her job over what we did. She’s worried about Starla to. I told her to meet me here. Now I’m thinking you should meet her. Yeah, you and Starla can bring her back to the hotel. I don’t want Candi’s coworkers thinking I’m with another chick. They would tell her. That would just devastate the poor girl.”

Sam says, “Ok, I understand you don’t want your two girls comparing notes.”

Dean says, “Mila will be here in about an hour. Thanks man, I owe you one.”

Sam says, “Just if I ever have a situation like this be ready to do the same for me.”

Dean says, “Right Sammy, you would have two chicks. That just doesn’t sound like you. Hey, but if it ever happens I got you covered.”

Sam looks at him annoyed. He shakes his head and walks towards the diner. Dean shrugs and walks after him. Jessica is sitting at a booth when Ruby slides in across from her.

Ruby says, “Hi Starla, if indeed that’s who you really are. Where’s Sam?”

Jessica says, “He’s not right here. You can leave Ruby. There is no need for you to be here now.”

Ruby says, “Well, you have toughened up since I met you. You drinking something you shouldn’t?”

Jessica says, “It’s none of your business. Sam is done playing with you Bitch.”

Just then Sam opens the door. He is kind of joking with Dean about the possibility of him balancing two women. Dean isn’t buying it. Jessica sees them. Ruby here’s them and decides it might be better to leave for now.

Ruby says, “We are going to finish this chat later girlfriend.”

She leaves before Sam sees her with Jessica. He and Dean go sit at the booth. A waitress brings their breakfast seconds later.

The waitress says, “Hi Dean. I thought Candi might be with you today.”

Grinning really big Dean says, “She’s a little exhausted so I let her rest. Can I get mine to go? I should see if she recuperated yet.”

Dean gets his breakfast to go. He leaves Sam and Jessica there to meet Mila. Jessica is feeling stressed about what Ruby said. Sam notices something isn’t right.

Sam says, “Thanks for ordering for me and Dean. You look a little frazzled. What’s wrong? Was Anna Here?”

Jessica says, “No, Anna hasn’t talked to me in awhile. Maybe I should try to contact her. There is just one thing, other than you, I’m going to have to take care of. I thought you would be helping me, but its better for me to do it alone. I don’t want you to be hurt or feel conflicted in anyway Samuel…”

Sam says, “Its ok J, Starla. We can handle whatever it is together. You don’t have to confront anyone or anything alone.”

Jessica says, “I do this. Have a good breakfast. I’m going to try to contact Anna to see what I’m supposed to do next. I’m just not sure anymore.”

Jessica gets up to leave. She turns toward Sam as he shares more bad news.

Sam says, “Just be careful. I trust Angels about as much as I trust Demons, maybe less. Oh, Mila’s on her way here because of the police or something.”

Jessica says, “That’s just great.”

She walks out the door leaving Sam alone in the diner. He is not alone long. Ruby walks over to the booth.

Ruby says, “Hi Sam. You and Starla look like you’re getting pretty close.”

Sam says, “Have a seat. She’s cool, I guess. You have something for me?”

Ruby says, “You know I do.”

With a sly grin on his face Sam reaches for Ruby’s arm. He looks around to make sure no one is watching. There are too many people for him to do what he really wants to. His phone rings. Its Dean. He answers it still holding Ruby’s arm tightly.

Dean says, “Are you and Starla still at the diner?”

Sam says, “Yes.”

Dean says, “Mila should be there in a few minutes. I told her I would meet up with her at the hotel so just bring her here.”

Sam says, “Yeah Dean, ok. I’ll get her to your hotel room.”

They hangup. Ruby tries to pull away from Sam. He holds her tighter.
Sam says, “You were here talking to Starla, weren’t you?”

Ruby says, “Yes, I was worried about the control she seems to have over you. You couldn’t even meet me last night.”

Sam says, “She’s not going to hurt me or anyone else, unlike you. I didn’t feel the need for you last night. I don’t jump when anyone calls me. I don’t need you like I use to.”

Ruby says, “I don’t care if you need me. I really just came to warn you there is a demon after your friend Starla. I don’t know anything else, but someone wants her dead. Now let my arm go. I’m out of here.”

Sam lets go of her. She gets up and walks quickly out the door almost knocking over an old couple who are walking out. Sam goes after her. He helps the couple.

Sam says, “Sorry, she’s a little upset. I hope you two are ok. I got to go. Ruby, you have to tell me more…”

Sam runs after her. She smiles wickedly as she heads into the darkest part of the alley behind the diner. Sam follows her. Pushing her up against the wall he pins her hands above her.

Ruby says, “Oh Sam, I thought you didn’t want to play with me anymore.”

Sam says, “Ruby, I’m not playing. I know you know more. Who is after Starla?”

Ruby Says, “Bite me.”

Sam says, “I will. You know I will.”

Ruby says, “I’d be fine after to. Really Sam, I don’t know who it is. Either let me go or take what you need first. I know you got to be jonsing for some of this.”

She turns her head exposing a throbbing blood vessel in her neck. Sam licks his lips. He loses control and just bites her neck. He takes more he ever has from her. She passes out. Sam screams…
