what are hot dogs made of?

April 21st 2009 20:52
here's everyone's favorite, what are hot dogs made of?

Now I'm sure you all remember that day at school when you were just about to dig into a tasty frank when your best friend leans over and says,"Do you even know what's in those things?" But contrary to what most people believe, it is actually what you see in the fresh meat packages in the grocery store. According to the manufacturers it is a combination of pork, beef, chicken, and turkey. Plus spices and various preservatives. But in the past however, frankfurters(which were invented in Germany, by the way) were made of leftover pieces of meat, as well as lamb intestines to serve as the casing, which is now made of synthetic materials. But when your friend told you it was pig snouts and chicken feathers, you still ate it, so does it really even matter what it is?

Thank you for reading, please invite your friends and don't hesitate to send me ideas =)

But when you think about it, this could have worked: bats can see at night, perfect for night operations, they are abundant(if you know where to look), and bats can carry more than their own weight. The only problem was they had no idea what to do
