Jonathan Thurston ready to step up to NRL super stardom

Jonthan Thruston is already an NRL superstar. The former Bulldog hit his straps when he moved from the Dogs to the North Queensland Cowboys and became one of the most creative, dynamic halves in the game today.
While always a talent, even as JT climbed the pecking order - there was always an Andrew Johns or a Darren Lockyer rated 'The Worlds Best Player' - but with Joey Johns now retired and Darren Lockyer looking more and more like a retired man due to injury - the time has come for Thurston to really become the no.1 player in the game.
Many come and go, the likes of Sonny Bill Williams burst onto the scene and is surely a match winner that can turn NRL Results around, but injury and errors seem to prevent the Kiwi from becoming an absolute lay down worlds best player.
The only hurdles remaining for Jonathan Thurston now are the fact that Scott Prince continues to impress at the half back role - the likes of Prince possessing good awareness, creativity and strong kicking on the Rugby League field.
Prince on the other hand will continue to push Thurston and ensure he remains at the top of his game.
The other concern is the Cowboys future. The club will change coaches in 2009, with Neil Henry taking the reigns - how will JT fit into the new look setup?
