JESUS - All About Life? Really ?

Enjoying my fave prime time TV series last night I was confronted by a somewhat amusing and agrivating commerical entitled, "JESUS all about life!"
Check it out:

Now although this ad has amazing production values, a nice atmosphere and even some clever messages, what the hell is it doing on a prime time, secular television channel? The group responsible, The Bible Society of Australia, specifies on their website that the ads alone are costing 1.5 MIL aussie dollars, forgive my ignorance, but in my day, churches used to spend cash on helping others. There is little doubt in my mind that the bible society is trying to attract more people to join the church and become involved, which is not so much a bad thing, but really , 1.5MIL on the ad spots alone! Add production costs and this campaign is a spectacularly extravagant show piece for the christian faith.
But why, how can they validate such a fragrant brandishing of cash when people in their own diocese and local communities go without food or shelter?
Lets get one thing straight, Christianity is not "cool" or "fun" and it should not be, it is about faith and understanding, which should not need to be advertised.
Needless to say, I emailed the bible society to ask them how they validated millions on making Jesus cool, they directed me to their website. After scouring through mounds of Religious trallop, I came across what I wanted to find:
"Statistics from the Australian census has shown that the Christian church is losing membership and is in danger of 'slipping off the landscape'. As well‚ recent National Church Life Survey (NCLS) results indicate that while in some areas the church is growing‚ in others it is stagnant and aging."
The church has lost numbers‚ influence and presence.
#‘Jesus. All about life’ is a prime-time media campaign that presents the words of Jesus to the community.
# Every local church has the opportunity to be the place where people who see the ads can find out more about Jesus and meet people who know him personally.
# For just $100 registration fee, payable on-line at www.jesusallaboutlife.com.au your local church can be a part of this campaign.
SO, the church is not longer important, people dont need it, dont care about it, so lets charge you 100 bucks and spend a shit load of cash and hope people find us cool again.
Nice try guys, this is not gonna work.
Why dont you go back out to the burbs, or the pits of the city, and do something worthwhile, maybe then I will be inspired to become a born again christian.
Until then, I am glad I renounced my faith and am not part of the mockery that has become the church.

Maybe they should stop to consider the fact that because so many people now have the opportunity to become highly educated, they're realising that all religion is a scam, and that all Gods are just a creation of humans... and that no amount of expensive advertising is going to change that fact. I mean, Jesus fucking Christ...

What's love Scot to do, Scot to do with it?
Your comments made my morning! Everything you say is true, why would anyone beleive in god when science and bascially everything around us tells us there is no such thing. I understand people need something, anything to believe in to attempt to make their lives seem more valuable or important, and whilst I can understand that, to them I say get a partner, get a hobby, join a charity group, SEE A MOVIE , anything would be more productive then preaching !
