Save money or earn more

I have been reading several articles on being frugal. One article in particular bought up the fact is it better to make sacrifices to save money or attempt to make more money. The answer I believe is a combination of the two. I am looking to cut every unnecessary expense and work overtime every chance that I can. I would like to be debt free and comfortable.

In my first post I stated that I would like to save or make an additional $500 a month. I am still attempting this goal. But have had several set backs. One being my wife being ill. And working the overtime. Part of having a goal is making it attainable, in the long run I still think this is a valid goal.

I am looking at several additional areas to make cuts. Thanks for reading.

Quest to Save $500

Welcome to Frugal Living News, the first of many installments I hope. I am currently on a quest to reduce my expenses by $500 per month. I am currently looking at all my bills to see where I could cut back. The initial item is going to be cable TV. There are several options for watching shows online that I believe I can cut this and not miss it.The options being hulu.com and the networks sites ABC.com, NBC.com and CBS.com. I am only interested in the free versions. Free is Bestt The initial savings would be about $12 a month. Which leaves only $488 to go.
