Bad Taste

This is one of Peter Jackson's early films (released in 1987) and if you've only seen his more recent, this will be a big shock to you. The special effects would be in line with the Toxic Avenger genre. From the horribly fake rubber or latex masks, which include massive amounts of fake blood, exploding heads, a guy with his brain hanging out of his head, then you'll have a ball watching this.
The basic premise of the movie are aliens - led by Lord Crumb - believe human beings are the new flavour of the month in the galaxy and they're on earth to package people up and ship them off to be sold. The government sends out the boys - a bunch of yobbos - to stop the human race from being turned into "Crumbs Country Delights".
What follows is a hilarious, violent, humorously unrealistic, battle where maiming and death is commonly spread far and wide by both bumbling sides.
I thoroughly enjoyed it, but I have Bad Taste.
