jackets and raindrops
I packed away your jacket today
not because of its tattered edges
nor the cigarette hole in the back
those make me smile
…I remember when it was new…
but because without you in it
it no longer keeps me warm
I wish I could pack the memories
in there too
but I would never be able to find
a box big enough
those stolen looks
and electric touches
watching the shadows
chase themselves across the ceiling
silent minds talking
listen to breathing
…when we had to hide our love…
the freedom of the time
when we could be together…
you were never a
‘kisses in the rain’
kinda fella
but each drop I listen to fall outside
reminds me of you

into the fibres
mingled now with mine
…like it was supposed to be…
but now it is time to pack it away
seal the lid
and put it with the other memories
so fondly stored

awwww what a wonderful picture! I've seen these two on CNN and thought it was totally adorable!
The poem however was very well written and moving...

Are you promoting love between divergent species, maybe that would work better.
I just know I love animals. But it is men I desire, not all of them I must confess, in fact most of them I'd give a miss.
There's a few I like. I doubt whether I shall ever love again, that is if love really exists and is not merely a fragment of our imaginations.
You shouldn't give up though. But it is hard to manufacture what doesn't happen naturally.
Stay still, my child, stay still, so someone can actually catch you.

Yeah I love this picture... it`s so reflective of love don`t you think? I received an email about it a couple of months ago and found the pictures on my computer again yesterday whilst doing some virtual tidying up.... it seemed appropriate.

And this morning I have woken to a sunny day and blue skies outside... it seems Mother Nature would be in agreeance too!
My feelings on love flitter between belief and idealism.. I need to learn to recognise the many levels of love... to love without comparison... that each person is different... that`s the bugger with experience... once you have had something that you like it is very difficult to change to something else... and unfortunately it would seem that it is near impossible to find that perfect combination....
Keeping still is also something I need to learn ~laughing now~ that is a difficult one!
Neve give up hope Katyzzz.... you are never too old for anything as long as your heart is open to accepting it!

reminds me of you...." this part makes me sad. it's been raining and Charlie is in the hospital. not sure when he'll be out. it was his first night off midnights yesterday. we where suppose to be able to sleep side by side. off to the emergency room instead.
