Why are we given an abundance amount of homework over the summer? I literally spent all day Saturday doing homework, for my two summer classes. I don't think teachers understand, that some of us, still have full-time jobs during the summer. I know the majority of students, are losers, and do nothing but school, but some still work a lot. I can't see why so many give so much credit to a full-time student, that only goes to school. Call me crazy, but if I donated all my time to school, I could get A's in everyone of my classes.

Teachers however, are beginning to get careless, and non-caring. Why the hell do they have jobs, if they could careless about the students. I think that everything these days, are done just for the paycheck. I just hope to get done with school, struggle to get good grades, while working full-time, and make the best of my life. I still have a couple of years to go, and hope to get some caring teachers on the way, and some that are not so full of themselves, and has an attitude, when they make a mistake, and the student points it out.

Matc has no common sense

June 11th 2011 04:58
Now that the teacher's salary are being cut, you kind of notice that the education that students are paying for, is just crap. Lets all not think about the students, but lets think of our pockets. Do we have enough money in our pockets, and if not, how can we budget, make everything inconvenient for the students, and fill our pockets up with cash. How about lets make the locations, consolidated to one very inconvenient location. Instead of making it easy for the students to get education, how about lets have them commute to different locations, that are probably far away, then the one in my neighborhood.

I went to school, to buy my books. First the woman gave me a hard time since I didn't have an I.D, and all i wanted her to do was print my class schedule, since it is required to get books. So this woman clearly wants to not be helpful, and bitch that I need my I.D. I told her I only use the campus for class, I don't use the campus for anything else. Finally she said ill print this for this one time, and then if you want to print anything, you need the I.D. Instead of trying to be helpful, I see that they want to argue over something stupid.

Now I finally get my class schedule, and now I go to buy my books from the bookstore. When I ask the lady for the books, I am told that all the summer school books, were moved downtown. So I made the trip for nothing. I don't live downtown, and in order to go downtown, you have to pay to park your car, and then walk a block or two to campus. This will take an hour or more out of my day, and not to mention I work 2nd shift, full-time.

The advertisement always mentions that they have so many different locations, so it is easy to get your education, but they fail to mention that they cancel classes, and move them to different locations, last minute. This is not convenient for me, or any student attending your school. I wish college campus's cared more about a student, then simply wanting to fill their pockets with the money, they once had.

More and More common sense

June 11th 2011 04:46
We have a few little things that I must blog about. Why do some people have no self respect. It isn't really smart, to park your car in the parking lot, blocking people trying to leave work, to go get a bag of cans. This has been twice now, and I don't have a problem waiting an extra 30 seconds to leave, but it just isn't smart to do it. Simple common sense question, if I park this car and block people from leaving, will they get upset? Is there another way to get the bag of cans from my co-worker, to my car, without pissing others off. So please put yourself in my mind, and think if I do this, am I being respectful to others, or am I being greedy, blocking traffic, all for a bag of cans. This is completely something I can get annoyed about, and others probably would park their car, block traffic, and think what the hell is this guys problem, if he yelled out the window telling you to move.

Don't waste time

May 20th 2011 04:40
I have to say, a hip hop song had a very good line. "Everyone dies, but not everyone lives". This is pretty much the truth. Everyone tries to make a lot of money, get nice cars, and pretty much pointless stuff in life. Instead of traveling, seeing the world, and possibly finding someone to share your life with, we end up just doing pointless things.

Yes money is important, but we only need so much to survive. We should not be so selfish in life, and trying to get all this material crap. Sometimes, taking a day off and just reading a good book is a great example. That book could cost you 6 bucks, and you could sit down and read it. Not everyone can finish a book in a day or 2, but it is cheap entertainment, that is enjoyable. Now I challenge everyone to start writing, and see what you think. This is something so many people dream of doing, but almost everyone besides the few gifted writers, actually do it

Stress the problem maker

May 17th 2011 05:12
This is the silent killer that most people don't even know about. This is why people need to learn to deal with the stress in their lives. Some people like me will workout, or do some taekwondo, and others will just try and cope with it. Please don't think that letting it build up, will make it go away. Once one bad thing happens, they all start coming. If you are stressed out, you need to deal with it, and not hope that it goes away on it's own.

The common sense to this post is learn to deal with your stress. The best way to deal with it, is not get stressed out in the first place. But this is not always the easiest thing to do. Find some relaxing music, a hobby, etc... Stress is a killer, and can lead to many other problems, so let's stop it before it does any more harm to us.

Goals

May 16th 2011 05:50
Sometimes in life, you need to surround yourself with some inspirational people. You need someone who inspires you to achieve greatness. If you do your own thing, we naturally don't have the self motivation to stick to things, without goals in mind. Even with those goals, we still need to reach them. To reach a goal, there are a lot of obstacles in life, that will get in our ways. Lets face it, we are only human, and having someone who inspires you, will give you the extra motivation you need to get to your goal.

It is human nature to be even a little jealous of that person, but this is the good jealous. This is the jealous that will push us harder, and force us to stick to reaching our goals. I suggest everyone find this kind of person, and you will be motivated to stick to your goals. Common sense of this is, surround yourself with motivational people, and not slackers.

Littering

May 4th 2011 18:11
This is a touchy subject, because everywhere i look, people are throwing garbage, everywhere but a garbage can. I have somewhat of a problem with people who litter, and when I seen someone open their door, and carefully put a can outside on the the side of their driver side door while in the car, and then close the door and leave it, it makes me wanna hit the person. If you are from a place where people throw trash all over the place, don't bring that same idiotic lifestyle with you. Learn some self respect, and stop littering. This is common sense, so please stop littering, before some kind individual smacks you in the head for it.

Procrastination

April 29th 2011 08:47
I am guilty of this all the time, and that would be procrastination. I have been off of school for 2 weeks roughly, one week for spring break, and the next week was since my teacher wasn't back from his spring break yet. So now I am asked to work on Sat, which was the day I planned on getting most of my school work done. So now I have to take a quiz online today, write up a rough draft for my scenario, so Sunday I can make final touches, and submit it. Also I have accounting homework and take home quizzes all due on Tuesday. So please don't be like me and procrastinate, since something can always come up, and leave you struggling to do something, that could of been done a week ago. If you didn't get the common sense, please don't PROCRASTINATE.

Working out

April 28th 2011 08:14
I know some people say eating makes them feel better, but I challenge you to workout, instead of grabbing a donut, fast food, junk food, etc.. Working out is very healthy for you, and not only do you get results, you get a great mental feeling. YOU feel good inside, and out. So workout, get in shape, and enjoy.

The wondering mind

April 28th 2011 08:00
So why when you get an idea, you almost always somehow forget it. I wanted to do things plenty of times, and without a constant reminder, life has a way of getting in the way. Common sense, make sure you give yourself that constant reminder. Don't go all out now, and put a ton of post it notes on your mirror, but simply a piece of paper possibly, with some inspirational quotes that will help keep your mind on track. It also could be a simple book that you have to read a little of every day, but keep with it. The thing that hurts us all, is lack of motivation, so keep up the motivation.
