This show is seriously hedonistic, egotistical and so darn entertaining I couldn't look away.
A 40 something book critic, who has a penchant for drugs and alcohol and...women.
He has a bevvy of beautiful women at his beck and call. His ex-wife, his ex-wife's soon-to-be 16 year old step-daughter, a hot stranger he picks up in a supermarket!
And then there is deranged, fat-ish, bald friend...who wants to spank his wife, but is secretly lusting over his new HOT secretary.
On the surface this program is American fluff....edgy as it claims to be...and strangely watching former X-Filer David Duchovony fornicating is fun...and funny.
I laughed alot whilst watching this program. The witty one-liners, the self indulgent, colder than Alaska 'girl he is just NOT that into you' bemoaning and acidic dialogue.
This is one hell of a ride for a Monday night. And enjoyable all the way.
Also LOVE LOVE LOVE the name CALIFORNICATION.

A modern day mans mid-life crisis played out beautifully for the universe - so fucked up it's funny, so truthful - it hurts.
And girls? We've all met varying degrees of this guy.
And we hate him.
But he was probably the best sex we ever had.
