Introducing...the Monday Night Movie Club
So it is Monday, that dreaded start to the new week. Your eyes start to twitch and and your feet have trouble carrying you to the bathroom to get ready for the new week. You spend the day in a dream-like state, going over the weekend and starting the count down to Friday when it can start all over again.
By lunch time that little pub across the road is looking good, just a couple to get you through the rest of the day! However, you soldier on. Four o'clock arrives and you sit at your desk, watching as the hands of the clock drag their way around the face. Tick...tick...tick...tick...tick... it is agonizing. By quarter to five you are packed up, desk tidied and staring at the computer screen, pretending to be deeply concentrating on some work related complex issue. Well you are really concentrating on something complexing and work related, staring at the computer clock and wondering if it is broken. Those numbers are taking too long to click over.
Suddenly your feet find life, all the energy that you have been saving all day and you rush out the office, down to the car and wisk yourself away to your little haven that you call home.
Dinner is done, kids are asleep and now it`s time to sit back, put your feet up and settle into some relaxation time.
So for this very first event I have chosen something with a little appeal for everyone. "While you were sleeping" with Sandra Bullock has a little bit of comedy (I had a be-there-moment when the kid fell off his bike delivering the newspaper, but that is for tomorrow!), a little bit of loving, a whole lot of deceit and leaves you with that warm fuzzy feeling. It is also set around Christmas so would be perfect for this time of year!
Enjoy!

i'm replying to this post because i can relate. i have monday blues every day... except my desk isn't tidy by 4.45. My boss is usually still throwing work at me; and i have to try and prioritise it. On the odd occasion, i don't get out until 5.45 or 6. Then i make my way home through horrendous traffic for half an hour, and flop on my couch watching telly for about half an hour to focus and relax. Then check emails and start surfing
I love tuesdays, tis my day off (tomorrow, whoot)
I've seen 'While you were Sleeping' and i loved it. It's funny, sad and romantic... all the ingredients for a good movie.. great choice!!!
cheers,
~Lily
