Who knows where Poetry comes from? Who knows when or where Poetry will come to you? These are some thoughts from the Depths of my mind.

Inspiration - A short Poem on a rainy morning

June 19th 2007 22:00
Inspiration?

Inspiration comes and goes, or does she ebb and flow?
Like a feeling I cannot touch
A thought I cannot find
she lingers in the back of my mind
Laughing, taunting, teasing
floating, a raindow; I run frantically
searching for my pot of gold.
She knows how much I need her
knows I long to be whole; slide down her velvet arches
knows we are the halves.
She chooses to hide in those corners of my mind
she thinks I cannot find, I hear her taunts; broken cackles
disappear into moments, , that become memories
Uninspired but real

I don't know how much poetry you write.

I'm reluctant to write anything about Orbler's poetry any more, because they all seem to take offence and chuck virtual hissy-fits.

Or I get stalked by the Punctuation or Typo Police (but never the Word Police?).

Sometimes I even get stalked by the Paint Police.

I'd like to say a few good things about this poem, but that would involve some constructive criticism so I'll leave it alone and just write what I have written.

constructive crtiscism appreciated......ego's get left at the door.......I am a craap poet but studied a Poetry Workshop as part of an MA this semester so I am used to getting reamed by professionals and there is only one way to learn.

It is an art form I am learnig to love...so fire away, be cruel to be kind

Louie,

just quickly popping in as I'm flying by...

I liked this poem and feel it has masses of potential and reminds me of a similar one I wrote about being unispired...(on Ordinary Life site).

I think you have a means to expressing yourself further if you pursuie it... and that can be so rewarding... I bet you rework this in time to come?

I liked it.

thank you.....yes I am dying to re-work it, there never seems to be enough hours in the day especially not to get into the mind frame to have another go at this one...I am doing a new class where I have to free write for 30 minutes a day, I am hoping I can get back ot poerty through this as my mind will be there already........create the time.....
