Inside the House
April 2nd 2009 02:11
Obviously the previous post dealt with the outside of the house and how it would look. I will write more in another post about colour scheme and 'brick-picking' but with this post I'd like to show the plans for the inside of the house.
As mentioned before it is two storey due to the fact that we are building in a flood zone, so all living is upstairs.
The designs are drawn to scale so we are able to measure accordingly when looking at kitchen designs and the size of furniture and where we are going to put it. Very handy!
You may notice that bedroom 2 looks a smidgen bigger than bedroom 1 and that is simply because the kids will be sharing the same room for some time. The third bedroom will become my office for doing the books for the shop and my thriving (?) writing business. Ooooh, can't wait to have my bookshelves up and all my books out again.
As we've been renting for 2.5 years and in a smaller house than we had before, much of our stuff has been packed in boxes. It will be like Christmas when we can open them again. I'm even just looking forward to a huge linen press!!
