Inoculation

Well, well, well, it seems I have discovered yet another blog site, courtesy of my partner in inanity, the sister unit, Erin. As I am sure you are aware by now, this blog is born as an illegitimate child from equal parts boredom and desire to write, but not write schoolwork.
Speaking of which, school seems to me to be an antiquated conundrum... I mean, we are told to develop our individuality and 'find our own path' because we are all 'special people'. This view is imposed upon every child in the 'First World' countries, and to tell you the truth I am thoroughly sick to death of this social convention.
Initially this would seem to be a good idea, fill our children with a sense of entitlement and by extension push them to be better than they would normally be. This 'empowerment' method (as i shall now be calling it) is riding upon the drug-induced hysteria of the 60's, perpetuated by aging hippies and 'new age' people. All this method provides for the children is a false sense of being the savior of the human race and the next Jesus, thereby cementing the arrogance necessary to create the current age group of initial teens.
These children believe they are god's gift to society (I use that as a turn of phrase by the way, not from any inherent religiosity...) and so strut around, wearing what MTV tells them to wear and smoking tobacco from a bong because they couldn't get their hands on weed but still needed to look hardcore (true story, I was there, maybe I'll tell you about it sometime). Alas though, for the almost depressingly overwhelming majority of these people and for many of my generation of school leavers, their entitlement is fake, their style, their attitude, their TV programs are fake, and all they will grow up to be is pencil pushers in a tiny cubicle, for the rest of eternity, serving the all powerful corporation as mindless zombies, embalmed by the wafting scent of toner fluid, whiteout and the faint ozone given off by their last century CRT monitors (check it out, you know I'm right about it, how does it feel to be using last century's antiquated technology?).
That is all for now, turned into a rather long post I must say. More to follow,
Ed - out
