"24 Review:"

"24 Review:"

24 premiered on FOX in 2001. It it set in real time. Each seasons are called "Days" and there are 24 episodes in each season, and each episode, an hour in length, is one hour out of one day. Each season is a year and a day later. The new season has Allison Taylor, who is elected president of the United States in 24.

(Allison Taylor sometimes looks like Hillary Clinton. Also, Allison's staff looks like the major presidential candidates of 2008).

I have not watched 24 until recently. I never paid much attention to FOX until then. But I did remember a show that had a beeping timer before and after commercials.

Of all the episodes that I have watched so far, 24 is very interesting. Jack Bauer reminds me of a young Jim Kirk, and 24 resembles vintage long running tv series. The technology is amazing.

The only problem that I have with 24 is all the deaths that occur with the characters.

24 has a story line that keeps going on from each episode (hour) to the next one; Sometimes you just can't wait for the next episode to happen the next week.

There is also many weeks where 24 isn't on, because the season has finished and the next one hasn't aired yet. You can recognize 24 with it's beeping timer and split screen. The split screen occurs after commercials and sometimes during the show.

"Scrubs Review":

April 21st 2009 05:57
"Scrubs Review":

Scrubs is an NBC/ABC series that is a half hour situation comedy that does not have laughter. It is not filmed before a live audience (or it might be screened, but the room does not have microphones on). It also does not have recorded or canned laughter. This series is similar to other NBC shows such as My Name Is Earl, and The Office, and Chuck. Most of the time in this series, the events are the thoughts of John Dorian, or J.D.. Sometimes it is the thoughts of other characters.

The reason why I did not watch this series for many years is because I did not think that medical related humor was very funny. I actually thought it was very cruel of an idea to even have ever created a medical situation comedy. The interviews on the late night talk shows did not help much either. Their promotion clips, as well as commercials, was of clips that I thought were terrible.

I eventually got around to watching just the opening segment. The theme song is terrible!! The closing theme is okay, but the opening theme, which is "I can't do this allll on my own, no I know. I'mNoSuperMan (music playing quickly) I'mnosuperman". It is one of the most terrible TV series themes that I have heard of.

However, I am familiar with Sarah Chalke. She is a very talented and nice looking actor. I remember her from Roseanne. In Scrubs, she looks exactly like she had before. She also looks like the first Becky actor, Lecy A. Goranson. (The spelling might be in-correct) in this series. Elliott Reed is a hilarious and hyperactive character.

I am also familiar with Dr. Kelso, because his actor was in an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation. The two characters are very similar. Dr. Kelso is an old doctor, and himself and Dr. Cox are nice people that are worn out by several things, from their personal lives to their lives at work. Because they are doctors, they might occasionally not succeed in their work, which is depressing to them. They remind the new staff members of several good and bad things about the careers, and often give everybody advice, and sometimes tease the other people, especially Dr. Cox with J.D., who rarely calls J.D. by his actual name. Dr. Kelso, however, calls everybody by their professional title and last names.

Ted is a constantly stressed out lawyer, who doesn't appear to like his job, and frequently has clumsy things happen to him. The same actor is on Desperate Housewives, whose character, a therapist, gets assaulted and thrown off a bridge.

There is also a nurse, who is at the Nurse's Station. I don't remember her name, but she is hilarious.

Also there is a surgeon named The Todd, who is also hilarious but sometimes sickening. Another surgeon is Turk, who is J.D.'s friend and they have been friends for many years. Turk marries Carla, who is also at The Nurse's Station. Both of these nurses are sometimes outside of The Nurse's Station. Carla does not like how J.D. knows about Turk more than she knows about Turk. She also calls J.D. "Bambi", so she is another person that calls J.D. names other than his own. Turk is one of the more annoying characters on this show, and it might take at least a few decades to get used to him.

There is also Janitor, and I don't remember his name. I don't think anybody remembers his name. Almost all of the time, he likes to torture J.D..

The characters are all very funny, and the interns at the beginning of the series end up getting interns of their own. When the show is not funny, everybody gives each other advice. It is still an unusual setting for a situation comedy, but it is still worth watching. Just try to block out the theme song, and try not to let any scenes where a patient dies bother you too much, because that often happens as well. Additionally, just like any other series, not every episode is as good as it should be.

"Finding Nemo Review":

April 17th 2009 02:47

"Finding Nemo Review:"

Finding Nemo is a 2003 movie. It is "3-D" animated by Pixar. The people I remember in it are Ellen Degeneres, John Ratzenberger, and Brad Garrett. It is a Disney movie, but movies made by Pixar seem to have a more detailed story line in them.

Or at least more detail. Marlin and Coral go to a promising looking area called The Drop Off to live. Before they know it, everybody has disappeared. A Barracuda is the only thing left. Coral runs towards the hundreds of eggs and Marlin goes to defend everybody but gets knocked unconscious. When he wakes up, the only person left is one egg. The egg has a very large scratch on it. Because of this, one of fins is smaller than the other one. He is named Nemo since Marlin said to Coral that he would name one of them Nemo and the rest of them would be named after their parents. Marlin is very overprotective and Nemo takes a risk by swimming outside of the reef.

"Oh My Gawsssh!!! Nemo'sh Schwimming Out To Sheeee!!"

Nemo gets captured, and he is in an aquarium and he is going to be Darla's pet, who accidentally tortures them. Marlin tries to find Nemo. That's about it for the story.

Marlin runs towards the boat to get Nemo, and loses the boat, and finds Dory.

Dory is an excellent character in many ways. Her personality helps Marlin not worry about Nemo as much, and to trust other people's ideas even if they don't seem like good ideas. She also has a hilarious personality and short term memory loss. One example is "Are you...are you my conscience?" Dory can also read. She is very useful to helping Marlin find Nemo, so he must learn to get along with her wackiness. The rest of the movie adds plenty of humor also and is a very creative way to look at the world of animals. Not all of the animals speak the same language, such as whales, sea gulls, and dangerous fish. I really like this movie, especially because I do not like it when there are animals that look like humans...they stand upright like humans, and wear human clothes. And also with this, such as Arthur characters Binky & Rattles and Pal, and early Disney characters Goofy and Pluto, you have animals that act like humans, and animals that act like pets. This is another reason why I like Finding Nemo. Of course, I am perfectly okay with SpongeBob SquarePants.

Just about every character is funny. From some of the parents, to the school of fish, and the sharks, and the aquarium. There are a few serious things in the film such as the beginning and also when a bunch of fish have to free themselves from the net.

I have Finding Nemo on DVD. It is a 2 disc version. I still think that DVDs are silly, but I still have Finding Nemo and several others.

"Hotel Rwanda":

"Hotel Rwanda":

Hotel Rwanda is a movie that was made in 2004. I think it is an independent foreign film. Just like Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, It was originally released with an "R" rating, but has been revised to PG-13. It is educational; It helps people learn about Africa for those who once thought Africa as being a country. There are people saying that they watched this movie in one of their social studies classes in school. I never did that. I wish I could have. I didn't even learn anything about what happened in Rwanda in 1994 until I watched this movie yesterday.

"Fringe Is About To Be Cancelled.":

"Fringe" is a television program that follows the lead of many different shows that have titles with as few words as possible with as few syllibles as possible, and with as few letters as possible. It primered on FOX in 2008 and easily appears to be a competition to CBS's "Eleventh Hour" television program.

I am not an idiot, nor do I write things and not explain my opinions.

"one episode into their second season"
- Your grammar stinks. It is supposed to be "one episode into its second season" because the word "its" is describing "series", which is singular because it is talking about "Fringe", which is one series, (unless you are in locations such as the U.K., where they use the word "series" to describe "season". I do not, however).
- I do not recognize the fall and the spring as two different seasons when relating to television. I know that Fringe has returned last week, but that doesn't make it Season 2. According to Wikipedia, "On October 1, 2008, Fringe received a full 22 episode season pickup by Fox TV network." These 22 episodes have not aired. This is not Season Two of Fringe; We are still viewing Season One.

please use proper grammar and spelling if you're going to post TV reviews online...
I think you meant "very well" not "very will". "very little in it's viewing audience is interested in"... I think you meant "very few in the audience ARE interested in seeing."

Sorry about the spelling. Thank you. I normally have this talking Mac software proofread for me, but I am just getting started with these blogs and I did not think to have it proofread. I try to proofread it myself, but the text is very small while I am typing. I know that I set the font to 3 for the body of my text, but I just did not think of proofreading since I was in the middle of creating different blogs for this site and then I realized that I should move the blogs to the correct category, which is what I was planning on doing tonight. And it is good that Anonymous did not suggest Spell Check. I just noticed the Spell Check feature on this text editor. However, since I did not mispell any words, as both "will" and "well" are correctly spelled words, Spell Check would not have noticed it.
However, I did know what I was typing when I put "very little in its viewing audience", because I was talking about a very small amount of its (Fringe's) viewing audience. Technically I was describing Fringe's viewing audience, and not the viewers.

And as for the rest of the comment:
I agree about Fringe being incredibly cool. I did not post a review about Fringe (yet). I will get to that this week. The subject about the "Fringe Is About To Be Cancelled" posting was addressing many negative reviews on The Internet Movie Database. If you don't believe me, go look up Fringe yourself, and read all the pages of reviews. Many of them are negative, with very few yellow stars, and there are amounts of people responding to the reviews. An estimate of about half of the people said that they agreed with the negative reviews that were posted. I was paraphrasing what was said in the negative reviews.

And as far as I know, FOX has not picked up shows that it has produced before that had been cancelled for other networks. I do not see Boston Legal and Shark on FOX, nor do I see it in first run syndication produced by FOX. FOX, in my opinion, cancels shows quickly. Once they read all the reviews on The Internet Movie Database, they just might cancel Fringe since it isn't liked by most (...of the people that have written reviews on IMDb).

I must admit I am surprised by the negative reviews on IMDb. My review on Fringe will be posted soon.
