in my state of confusion I need you
June 23rd 2008 06:13
I have read writing about personal problems and love life issues doesn't rate very well. Luckily for me if I just wanted lots of people reading my thoughts I would take out ad space in the daily telegraph.
Very quickly ill bring you up to date with my situation. Boy meets girl. Boy falls inlove. Girl breaks up with boy. Boy is crushed. A week later girl calls boy. Girl uses a bit of tough love to teach boy a lesson. Boy says he wants to move on and can't do so with her in his life.
Now this is where it gets fun. Boy, which is me, obviously, has a short conversation with a person at work. He then realises that what she said was right.
(That you can't be happy until you accept who you are and appreciate the good things about you and like yourself)
Now for the next 7 hours I am in a good mood, probably the best mood I have ever been in for a nothing day and im wondering if I made the right decision.
Here's the thing, I've stayed friends with someone I felt strongly about before, and it led to a depressing and emotionally draining period of my life.
So to cut the story down, I went searching for her number. I found it in my sent box of my work phone.
A 40 minute conversation later, im happy to say she was very forgiving and understanding.
Has anyone ever succesfully stayed friends with an ex?
I've previously spoken about dating a friend, this is the opposite.
End of normal post,
Ana, I want to thank you for being very funny, very understanding, forgiving and caring.
You are the wisest person I know, and you know how to get through to me.
Even though our relationship didn't work out. I hope I can be a good friend to you, you are the best friend to me and I would be an idiot to not want you in my life.
