Flashes of memories - MUGABE MUST GO!!! ZIMBABWEANS NEED THEIR HOME BACK

There are as many nights as days, and the one is just as long as the other in the year's course. Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word 'happy' would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness - Carl Jung To be at one with God is to be at peace ... peace is to be found only within, and unless one finds it there he will never find it at all. Peace lies not in the external world. It lies within one's own soul. - Ralph Waldo Trine

Imagine....

Imagine yourself standing on a long road. The sun is just starting to set and the rays are casting a yellow glow on everything. It is just bright enough that you have to squint your eyes a little and you can still feel some of the warmth as they day ends. There is a gentle breeze blowing and you can hear the sound of waves gently washing onto a beach.

Imagine that you are standing in an open field. You feel really frustrated, angry even. The air is buzzing with the electricity of a pending storm. Rumbles of thunder are gentle and far away in the distance. Now imagine it starting to pour down with rain. The drops are warm on your skin, but they sting slightly because they are coming down so hard. You spread your arms wide and lift your head to the sky, closing your eyes.

Imagine that you are standing in a forest. You feel the cool. You smell the earthy, dusty air. A single bird calls from somewhere above. Don`t look for him, just listen and enjoy the sound. You can hear the wind rustling through the branches. You can see beams of gentle light coming through the trees from the sun.

Imagine the moon rising over a calm ocean. It is dark and you are barefoot on the beach. The wind is cool enough for you to wrap a shawl around your shoulders, but not enough to make you shiver. The light is dancing on the top of the tiny waves and the water is creeping peacefully onto the shore.

Imagine sitting with someone. No words pass between you. You are sitting close to that person and staring into their eyes. Each blink seems to take a lifetime because you do not want to waste a moment without seeing them. There is no awkwardness in your silence. Imagine your breathing becoming one with theirs, the air you breathe in sharing, the air you exhale mingling.

Imagine....

Very unusual and creative Ash,

Great for someone who needs to reflect and meditate, very unusual imagine of the moonlight on water from the bridge (?).

It makes one think.

Ash...

Since I've first come to Orble, you've developed a brand new style and I am really moved by the way your posts come together. There's powerful energy here... in your words, in your images, and I can feel it from the tippy top of the hair on my head all the way down to the wiggle in my toes.

A beautiful retreat.... thank you.

You're pictures and words are as always thought prevoking..

ash,

very clever!

they say that sound is 70% of a movie, and it is amazing what an audio piece can do a series of photographs. a backing track sets you in the mood, the photographs take you to that place, then the words give you an insight into the author's mind.

i really enjoyed this entry, and dug the idea. big tick! ten out of ten for you.

Morning Wendi,

thank you... that is the best compliment I have received in a long time. I am always grateful for feedback... positive and negative... I am really touched that you feel that way... it must be all the positive energy I`m surrounded by *wink*

thank you again

Hi Jonathon,

I agree words seem a lot more meaningful if you have music in the background. Movies are definitely more meaningful with the right music.

I wasn`t actually going to put any pictures in... I wanted people to conjure up their own images... I should have actually left them out in hindsight...

But good that you enjoyed...

Oh. Wow.

....this is like a 3 sensations movie...it's amazing.... I can't quite articlulate what I mean...3 separate sensations so you have to focus more and this enhances the 'viewing'....

Wow.

Ash. Wow.

Wow: You've hit the nail on the head with this one... absolutely brilliant.

The first three?... no worries... easy...

Hey Dusk,

Imagine reading a book where every page you turned the smells (very subtle) would waft up and gentle sounds would flow out... would that spoil the experience because it is hinting at a lack of imagination? or would it heighten the experience? not sure...

chuffed as pie you liked it... grinning like the Cheshire cat....

hope you have an excellent weekend ahead...

Hiya Lilla,

don`t worry I live in hope on the last one myself... siiiiiighhh.... I wonder...do we expect too much? or do they give too little?

have a super superb weekend

Hiya K

ahh yes I love imagining these sorts of things.... before I go to bed at night I try to take myself off to these sorts of places just to quiet my mind for a little while. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn`t but c`est la vie...

Heey that was pretty nifty. I liked that one.

Music helps with everything. I enjoy listening to music that suits the way I feel. You sit there going "yes,, yes !! I know what you mean !! YES !!! " It's good. This was very calming. I'm not a huge meditation fan - namely because I enjoy keeping active but this was great.

Love the work Ash, keep it up !!

Hmmm. I read this post and had something to add but it seems it has already been added.

You know, I can tell when I see one of your titles to your posts. Your distinction is strong.
May you live long and without pessimism

p.s. my song for this post would probably be a flamenco piece... oh yeah I WAS FINALLY IN THE STUDIO YESTERDAY! Just have to wait till after easter to mix it. No work for easter either.
May we write in the bucketloads...

Hey Anthony

Music is certainly food for the soul isn`t it? Being active is important... getting that blood circulating. I love being quiet too though... silence and relaxation... visualizing yourself somewhere else for a bit to take a break from the hectic world... blissful!

Great to see you again Anthony

Hey Opto,

Many thanks and may your wishes be the same for you friend.

I look forward to hearing your pieces Opto... make sure you let me know when you have posted some so I can take a listen. I hope all is well with the theatre production too.

Easter... I don`t look forward to any of the holidays much because I have to work them so tomorrow will probably be my last day off for the next two weeks... busy, busy times. (Although I may sneak off to the Jazz festival next weekend... it would be rude not to!)

have a great week, all the best with the writings ... I shall pop over to your place shortly and have a wander around.

Okay I gotta 'fess up now.

Where did you get the idea it was for the theatre?

Its just a 10 minute short...

You know, screenwriting...
For film...
So are you reconsidering your acting career?

I hope so.
May your pina coladas forever flow.
Opto.

Morning Opto

My acting career ain`t gonna take off any time soon friend so I wouldn`t hold my breath on that one
Thanks Opto... *grin*
