NEW YORK STATE -- Governor Paterson arrived at Mount Sinai Medical Center at 3 a.m. on his 54th birthday complaining of a severe headache. An MRI and cat scan came back normal, but after further evaluation, he was diagnosed with acute glaucoma in his left eye.
"We then treated him with medications to relieve pressure in his eye and make him more comfortable until we performed the definitive procedure," said Dr. John Danies.
Called an iridotomy, doctors say it took just five minutes for a laser to slice a small opening into the governor's iris to relieve the intense pressure and pain. As word spread of the procedure, the mayor wished him well.

I wish him well,as well as Ted Kennedy.I also want my healthcare back. We,as taxpayers, pay for their helthcare. We deserve the same.
I wake up,before I even open my eyes, the pain is so severe.I'm in pain 24/7.Most of the time I fear that the pain will win,it'll kill me...
I'm tired,I'm scared.I'm always in pain...I want my healthcare back.I want to be able to go into the hospital....for them to put an iv in me and find the right meds to break the pain cycle.
I'm glad for the politicians that get care. But it's not right,I help pay for their care and yet I go without..
Do you know how many times, like tonight,I could just pull every hair out of my head, the roots hurt so bad.My head hurts so ad,I could just put it thru a glass door.I'm dizzy,I'm sick and tired of pain.
I Want my Healthcare Back!!
